2025 R1T Dual Motor Max Pack, 2018 Model 3 Performance
Really wanted to get a Rivian. Loved the look and the promised performance. Put down my deposit 2 and a half years ago for a Max Pack. This month was going to be the month for us to change back to dual motor and some time after get a revised delivery estimate. I now hear the configurator update for max pack holders is pushed to April. Whether accurate or not, I’m afraid that’s the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. Coupled with the fact a service center still isn’t planned for my area and that likely pushes me out even further, it’s enough. I’ll move on to other options. Too bad! Cheers all!

I don’t understand why after 2.5 years you don’t just keep the reservation and make that decision when you have to sign the purchase order.

Yeah, camel's back is already broken. No harm in it taking more abuse.

So many of these woe is me I am leaving (Rivian) posts. Really sorry that you’ve decided to go a different option but honestly you’re just freeing it up for someone who’s going to love the car even more and wish you luck on whatever you decide to purchase in its place.

I'm over four years out from order, but will hang on until the end.
