I am looking at getting a cargo basket to use for some upcoming trips that I would like to mount on the cargo bars over the bed. I have seen the Yakima MegaWarrior and an Amazon aluminum basket being used. It looks like from the window to the rearmost part of the tailgate it would be 67-68", and from the edge of one bed rail to the other is about 55". I would like to keep within that envelope.
I need a minimum of 60" usable length, and as wide as possible to maximize the space. I was leaning MegaWarrior with a cut down extension (only if I could find it used, because I'm not crazy enough to cut up a $250 extension just to get an extra 6-16 inches), but would like to know if there is anything I am overlooking.
I did also find a cheaper 64"x50" basket on Amazon. It seems that with a little extra prep (spraying it with Herculiner and replacing bolts with stainless) people are having good luck with it.

Let me know what you are using and how it is holding up for you.
