I'd give that site/article a 1 out of 5 rating for printing BS!

My Rivian has been 100% perfect out of the gate.
My 2017 Bolt accumulated 45K miles (before I sold it) without ever being in the shop for a repair.
A work associate has 60K+ miles on his 2019 Bolt and it has never been in the shop..

Any asshole with a webpage can make whatever article they want. All issues aren't weighted the same, and when you put stuff like a stuck window in the same category as powertrain failure your list doesn't hold much weight as far as I'm concerned.

The grammar in that article hurt my brain. My brain is very thick and tough, it's not easy to hurt.

We own three of their dirty 10, 1 year and 8 long road trips on the
R1T, 3 years on Kona, and 6 and 4 years on the 2 Bolts.
Outside of battery swaps on the 3 electric grocery getters and a DOA Tonneau, knock on wood, we have been trouble free.

I mean…. "manufacturer had to replace on *EVERY* vehicle sold the most expensive single component of the vehicle that if it fails leaves you with an oversized paperweight or can burn down your house" seems like a pretty huge reliability concern to me. The fact that both manufacturers did the recall with very little problem speaks more to their service than to the reliability.

That said, in both vehicles' cases, the problem was an upstream supplier, and in theory the cause of the problem is fully fixed in both vehicles. So it probably shouldn't be a "going forward" concern for reliability. (The Bridgestone tire recall for Ford and the Takata airbag recall for many companies - once fixed in new vehicles both recall sources shouldn't impact future reliability scores as neither one was an inherent fault of the vehicle design.)
