Hey! So my truck was hanging out with your truck at AutoNuvo :0) I guess we both are getting tinted windows and are snap-plate buddies

Haha. I saw yours this morning. We should organize a meet up one day!

Will I see your R1 at the Pats games?
Ha! My user name indeed checks out. I got to one game every year, courtesy my uncle, a season ticket holder. So I’m hoping he’s generous enough to take me this year as well. If he does, yes, my R1 will be at Gilette

If you would like to show off your Rivian, possibly meet up with other Rivian owners, talk to the public about EV ownership in general, I recommend participating in a National Drive Electric event.
There are several events in New England which run from September 23rd to October 2nd. https://driveelectricweek.org
I have been a volunteer at many of these events over the past five years with my other EV's.

So far, I am signed up for the
Saturday September 24 event in Concord NH
and
Saturday, October 1st event at Hebert Candy Mansion in Shrewsbury, MA.

Also, I am signed up for three other local events. They are not affiliated with National Drive Electric Week.

Alternative Motors Day, Larz Anderson Park Auto Museum,
Brookline, MA
Sat. Aug 20th 9AM-1PM
https://larzanderson.org/2022lawnevents/altday/

August Moon Festival
Quincy, MA
Sun. Aug 21st 12PM-4PM
https://www.qariusa.org/august-moon-festival

Nantasket Beach Car Show
Hull, MA
Sun. Sept 18th 8AM-12PM
https://nantasketbeachcarshow.com/

It would be great to meet some fellow Rivian owners at these events and it would be cool to line up the different colors together.

I will be bringing my e-bikes to some of these events too.

It was good to see you at American Car and Truck day at Larz Anderson, lots of nice car people one of the Tesla guys was disappointed that they didn’t park one of us next to an old pickup truck. I’m also signed up for Alt Motors day.

Thank you for this reminder! I just signed up to demo my Rivian at our local event in VT.

Funny story, last year we were thinking of moving to VT and driving through several towns on a saturday to get a feel for them. Pulled through the little town of Bethel which was busy and decided to stop, pulled into the town lot and parked the Model 3 next to three EVs and a tent for this very drive electric week event! We then followed the crowd up the street to what was the town's biggest festival of the year and really fell in love. Four months later we bought a house there! So thrilled to return this year, and volunteer to show off the truck!

Ooh signed up as well. Will be fun to meet up and I should have my truck by then.

Signed up for both of the ones in VT actually. And it looked like there might be a 3rd but location and date were TBD.

+1 Thanks @RivianCurious

This is another EV event I will be attending.
Nashua Wheels & Wings
Saturday 9/17/2022
10:00 AM - 2:00PM (arrive by 9:30)

Nashua Airport
93 Perimeter Rd
Nashua, NH 03063

The main theme is to show/teach everyone about EV’s.

This is a very family friendly event free to the public. It is somewhat geared to kids to see the big trucks, ambulances, fire trucks, buses, etc.
There are usually several older airplanes to check out, the NH Air National Guard Medevac Black Hawk helicopters are a sight to see (especially landing, have to come earlier to see that).

At the entrance to our section, we will be holding a kids trivia contest about EVs and some kids related give-aways in addition to the standard Drive Electric Week swag. This will let us control the access to the EV’s so people will not be crowded around the EVs.

This will be our 3rd year being invited to this event and has been well attended and pretty fun and rewarding.

All EV’s must be in place prior to the gates opening to the public at 10:00 am and cannot leave until 2:00 pm.

Please let me know if you would like to participate.

I miss KASH and heading up every week for flying lessons before the program with work was cancelled. My September might be crazy but if I am free I might try to go

Great.
Let me know if you want to show off your R1T. You will need permission to drive in to the EV area.
