Additionally, why can’t it use your average consumption for the range on the standard dash display? And, they should provide adjusted estimates in off-road modes. In sand, everything is wildly inaccurate (and it’s better to not drive in sand mode most of the time as the speed limit is set to low to allow you to build and carry momentum).
