Windshield Issues for R1T

Off the top of my head from two years ago. I used Safelite, so they are usually on the pricier side!

Every time I needed a windshield repair, Safelite was at least a week out. By that time the crack will spread and I’ll be buying a brand new windshield. Maybe that’s what they are hoping for??????? I use a small independent local windshield repair company and they’ve shown up same day, every time.

I got my first crack (biggest one - top right) on the way home from picking up the R1T in Denver. It was a two hour drive, so I called the insurance company and they authorized a repair at Safelite when I got back in town, so I went directly to their facility and actually got it repaired within about a hour after getting it.

The only time I had a windshield cracked and replaced (fully covered by my insurance, no deductible) was when I became a dumbass getting too close to vehicle ahead. Wised up, became a smartass and now always stay the hell back from vehicle ahead. Funny, no more windshield dings.
Smartass good. Dumbass, not so much.
