Wonder when someone is going to make soft close doors

I know on the model 3 and y there are companies making auto present handles and soft close... Wonder how some someone is going to make soft close for rivian?

I'm glad the rivian is sealed well but my kids (7 and 3) cannot completely close the last door... if I don't remember to slam my door I'll have to do it again lol.

My last 5 cars had soft close and felt like I never needed it but this is the only car I actually feel like I do need it lol

How long have you had yours? When we first got the R1T everyone was closing the door and it wasn't fully latching. It seems pretty difficult compared to other cars.

Now even my 5 year old has no problems and it always closes on first try. Don't even need to think about it now.

Maybe it starts to break in a little so it becomes easier to close with time.

I've had it 2 weeks now... hopefully it does get better but would still like to have soft close

I had mine in for service for this issue and they claim to have addressed it but no change. I still had to close it twice all the time. Then I had a mobile tech visit last week and we talked about it and he showed me a tip. He said to close the door firmly with your hand on the door handle. Now it closes shut the first time, every time. In 10 minutes he gave me more tips then the 1 hour delivery specialist.
