That would be awesome! I've been scrutinizing Amtrak routes and schedules from Winston-Salem, and even though Amtrak runs to both Richmond and Spartanburg (Duncan), the schedule is not ideal. But W-S (High Point) to Raleigh is ideal!

yep. I pick up my R2 in knightdale on 8/1. Was very excited to see this, even though I was okay driving to Richmond.

Yeah same here, it would be a nice first drive for the R2. Still, closer to home does make it easier.
