ok that's great. I guess it was a stupid question to ask because that makes total sense through BT. Thanks for answering though and appreciate it.
Ha, ha. No worries. I only learn by asking lots of questions, most of mine are truly nit-whit (unlike yours)!

@dieselsan I will be coming from a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited as well. I LOVE the Jeep but occasionally the inside does feel a little cramped. I think the size of the R1T will be just right for my tastes. Bigger, especially on the inside, but not near the size of a full size truck. My last Truck was a 2018 Tundra and it was just huge. Too big for me. I'll have to figure out the best way to mount my bike but that's such a small problem I'm not worried about it.

I've a hitch bike rack but think I'll get pad for bed door and hang bikes. That's what our Rivian delivery guide does with his dirt bikes.

I am looking into the bed pad, too. At least for short drives to the local trails.

I originally posted this in the gripe thread, but this thread seems to be more active and a more appropriate place for it anyway. So here goes.....

In trying to set my "Home" in the navigation app, when I enter my real mailing address it's showing up about 600 feet down the street on the map. While not a huge issue, it gets quirky when using the gear guard setting to be on when "Away from Home". It's still recording at Home when it's not supposed to. Is there a way to use "Current Location" to set the "Home" position in the navigation app?

Great question and I'm not sure. What I have learned is Gear Guard has some issues and is still "under development" according to Rivian service. For example, the honk is supposed to sound upon a breach. It doesn't or at the very least only does sometimes. It's a bug. There are other issues with inconsistent notification to your mobile device, the kinds of breach that gets recorded [if you break the plane thru an open window it should, but doesn't set alarm off], issues with having multiple keys in the vicinity of the truck ,etc...

Totally get that, but I'm thinking this is more of a navigation/mapping issue. When I enter my address to set as "Home", the map sets that location about 3 houses down from my actual location. So when I'm physically parked at home, I'm not "Home" according to the Rivian map (which I guess is supposed to integrate with the Gear Gaurd app).

I would think it should be easy to have a choice to set your current location as "Home", "Work", or any other place you frequent. Maybe there is and I just don't see it?

Not sure if asked before: too many pages to read right now.
But, when you shift into reverse, does birds eye come on automatically? And when you change from reverse to drive, does it keep Birdseye, but just facing forward.
The Bolt does this Birdseye full time no matter the speed, and then going forward till you hit 5 mph.

Can you enter latitude and longitude for "home"?

When you shift into reverse the reverse plus birds eye comes on automatically. When you shift into drive the screen goes away.

NOW, if you select the cameras BEFORE you shift into reverse it will show you the backup and birdseye and when you shift in to drive it will show birdseye and forward indefinitely.

Just curious, do other addresses appear correctly on the map? If you use google maps on your phone does it behave the same way?

Agree. I was to.d to use “everywhere” for gear guard for now since it’s quirky. But get your point and idea.

I didn't find this in any search, so I will ask...

Does there appear to be any mounting locations between the wheels for side steps? My wife is pretty short and she uses them all the time to get into my current truck. Plus they are a great parking lot dorr ding saver. ;)

Has anyone hooked up an OBDII scanner? Curious what kind of data the Rivian produces.
