I manufactured forged wheels for 10+ years. AMA.

How does one go about finding a custom wheel manufacturer? This seems like one of the more unique humble brags I've heard in awhile. I'd love to see what you come up with!
I just placed the order and .......I'll be going to 9.0" width and we'll probably push out the wheels 8-10mm more for a bit more clearance on full-rake turning under compression. Initially the hub will be thicker, to allow it to be milled thinner if need be....(they have a CNC milling system in-house) This will allow for a perfect fitment with the Pirellis AT's, which btw are a fantastic tire.Lol. Only Rivian would chose the most popular truck wheel bolt pattern (5x5.5) and then design with a one-of offset. That offset matches the new Land Rover Defender, but then they use a different bolt pattern *sigh*.
Are you going to stick to 8.5” width? I’d like to look into narrower tire options for a slight range boost.
I'd love a set of steelies!I kind of just want to paint my roof white and get a white steel wheel.

Ya'll can forge aluminum and carbon fiber all you want, if it's good enough for Starship's hull, it's good enough for my wheels, especially my truck.
I don't know man, $77.53 is a lot of money.I'd love a set of steelies!
If I were a betting man, I would bet that most wheels you see on cars these days are made in China.
The Method Bronze wheels have been a staple on every truck I've had for the past decade. Will pay for a good forged bronze colored wheel on a diet. You could have HRE, Forgeline and a host of others build custom wheels, but that's a bit beyond what I'd like to spend for the R1T. I personally like the pure off road look even with some standard designs from Method Race Wheels or even KMC. KMC style design would look great in black, titanium or even bronze.
71'. Motor swap with a Toyota 2JZGTE, Currie 9" rear-end, Nissan 370Z 6 speed gearbox....single turbo making about 800whp......fun to drive!!Thanks @Mark_AZR1T...... Would also love to see more pics of your El Cam.
I don't know for sure, but I doubt anyone with the forged R1T 20's are going to save any weight on another forged aftermarket 20" wheel. The combined weight of the OEM tire and wheel seems very light compared to most any combination I've come across......YMMVThe Method Bronze wheels have been a staple on every truck I've had for the past decade. Toyo makes the Open Country AT3 in a compatible size. Someone else should buy them and let me know how their range is.
I guess that makes sense. I just assumed it would be a big heavy like other OEMs but i guess it would jive that rivian did what they could to lighten it up.I don't know for sure, but I doubt anyone with the forged R1T 20's are going to save any weight on another forged aftermarket 20" wheel.
