That’s weird that there was no tracking number sent to you. I’m still waiting on my accessories as well, but in the mean time I ordered another set of crossbars this past weekend and they are scheduled for delivery tomorrow per the email from Rivian. ?‍♂
Sigh…. I pointed out to my guide that the accessories I already paid for were in stock and she assured me they were prioritizing deliveries to us R1T owners that still hadn’t got accessories.

I got UPS notification that 2 shipments were on their way... to my old address. Presumably, this was my crossbars and field kit. I called UPS to see if they could re-route. They couldn't but said would return shipment to sender.

I reached out to guide to see why they still had my old address in there to begin with when I was pretty sure I'd long since updated my address of almost 2 years everywhere I could. He said there'd been a company-wide system issue that was the culprit. Wondering if it has to do with restoring pricing which I got notification of after truck delivery ?

I got another UPS notification this morning that shipment had been rescheduled - still to old address. I'm not sure what will happen with that. Maybe recipients will get a chance to reject it.

Guide has re-ship request in. No ETA yet. I hope they can expedite at least the crossbars, under the circumstances.

At least you got a UPS notification so you could identify the issue.

Seems others are just getting surprise packages. I am sure this is going to end badly for some customers with either:

- Packages going to the wrong addresses
- Packages arriving while people are out of town and stolen off porches etc

I mean it’s only a matter of time unless Rivian fixes their process.

I took delivery on 3/25 and still no floormats or my wristband key. I ordered cross bars from the gear store the week after I took delivery and they arrived in 3 days

Yeah, something's really screwed up with their system. I was digging around the JSON data returned from the web requests, and all the add-ons had the wrong address in them (also an old one). Even though I've updated the vehicle options several times since the original order was placed.

I'm not sure how that would even happen, pretty poor data design IMO.

I need to reach out to CS and ask them if they know what's happening with that, but haven't had a chance yet.

Hey everyone,

Today is the 12th day I have had my R1T and I came home to this surprise.

Sorry @jjswan33 if you haven't received your bundles yet. There was no tracking that was sent to me.

I received the all weather floormats, the off road recovery kit and the field kit. The crossbars are still MIA.

By now, everyone knows the field kit doesn't fit flush and the off road recovery kit is just an off road recovery kit.

What I haven't seen mentioned is how big a PITA installing the all weather floormats is. Popping out the chilewich floor mats was easy. Then came 5 minutes of me installing the front 2, and 25 minutes trying to get the rear all weathers installed.

Pro tip: adjust your front seats all the way back so you have plenty of room to try to align the tabs of the floormats to the floor.

It was a mildly frustrating process of figuring out why the floormats would not snap down. You basically have to somehow lift the floormat enough so that it's not catching on the floor, so you can align it just right to snap them down. Easy as pie right?


Alright the fun starts with the rear one. It's great that Rivian made a long one piece all weather floormat. That also meant that it's super unwieldy when you're trying to angle it in just right so that you aren't catching the seat backs or the rear seats.

There are 3 tabs to lock down for the back, one on each end and one right smack in the middle. I found that the clearance is extremely tight. You really don't have room to play around if you want all 3 to snap in properly. I would be able to snap in one end but due to how the floormat was seated, the middle and the other end would not be able to snap in, or I would be able to snap both ends but not the middle.

To save you approximately 20+ minutes...
Maneuver this unwieldy piece of rubber/plastic??? by lifting and adjusting its position until you're able to snap it in the middle. Then have fun smoothing and adjusting each side until they are able to snap in their respective spots.

Last step, thank Rivian for designing such tight tolerances for their rear floormat. Think about how much time you would have saved if they had just installed this at the factory or at the service center before you took delivery.

And of course, enjoy your new all weather floormats!

Your mileage may vary. It sucks that R1VLIFE had such a struggle. My floor mats were installed in about 3 minutes, with no cussing at all. ?‍♂

Yes cause I plan on getting running boards or side steps, whatever you want to call them, for my RS1
Sooo...I'll let first one go, second one ya get note....it's an R1S not RS1. (I do it all the time as well). I think the RS1 goes for about 2 or 3 million$.

Followup: I just chatted with customer support. It's a known issue. For some reason, their system tracks old addresses (nobody apparently knows why yet), and all vehicle accessories get assigned that address. Even if customer support changes it, it reverts back.

Rant follows:

I sure hope whoever designs the order & delivery software stays far away from the vehicle software.

And, for that matter, the website. You should see the mess of data returned from their GraphQL endpoint. Every time you load up your account, it includes not only the ordered vehicles, but also the entire order system configuration (i.e., all the options, pricing, and option interactions) for each vehicle. That is, the data is duplicated for each vehicle. If you wonder why it takes so long to show the account page, this is likely why.

If you take the shovel out of the field kit, it fits flush. I store my shovel with my SOG kit under the back seat.

I'm gonna go with user error for the mats... I installed mine in 30 seconds flat. Record time!
Actually, my field kit does fit flush. You may need to move some stuff around in there a bit, but it certainly can fit flush. Some of the contents of the field kit may have shifted in shipping making it a bit bulgy in places. Just shift some stuff about, give it a bit of a squish; it'll be fine. Again, ymmv.

Check back with UPS. They have an uption where they will re-route it to a UPS store of your choosing. Then you can pick it up there by showing your ID.
I believe you can also do this in MYUPS.COM. I do this a lot if it is a valuable item where I dont want it sitting on my doorstep.

At least you got a notice. Mine was delivered to my old address and the new owners were kind enough to reach out to the realtor to get my contact info. It took Rivian a week to have UPS pickup but instead of sending to me they just went back to wherever they came from. My guide had to reorder and I still have no idea when I will get the mats. What is really stupid is that Rivian sent my wall charger to my correct address then pulled my old address out of their ass for the floor mats.

I'm really glad I ordered my crossbars when the Gear Shop went live months ago! Now I have crossbars and no R1T ?

Geez. Hope they can get all this right. I forgot that Wall Charger came to the right address 3-4 weeks ago so complete DRE on old address here too for field kit and crossbars.
