Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

My delivery is scheduled for Saturday! So anyone from Mass, is there any chance they can actually handle RMV and plate transfer that quickly? I basically completed all 8 steps today.

I am going to be in the Boston area end of next week (thursday/friday/sat morning).

Hoping the service center might be open but if not would anyone be willing to give me 5 mins to look at their truck?

Never seen one in person before.

I was at the airport Sunday and live north so I took a 5 min detour by the service center. I want to see the colors in person and see if the quality is on par with the demo trucks. No trucks inside or out that I could see. Looking through the garage doors, the shop inside is not complete. The lifts are being installed. No tools in the shop yet either.

I have a max pack on order so no expectation of quick delivery. That will give me the time I need to decide on the color. I've changed my mind about as many times as there are colors.

Now I know that I have a chance of making it home after parking 500' down the road at PreFlight Parking for a 5-7 day business trip and returning to a truck with 5% battery left from the vampire drain

Better yet, until they get the battery drain issue resolved, Rivian should let Logan flyers park at the service center to stay topped off. I'm sure they wouldn't mind shuttling us to the airport once in a while....

Cars and Coffee on Saturday mornings at Larz Anderson Museum of Transportation in Brookline is a great place to see some really unusual cars (basic, exotic and interesting) with very car centric people. Oh yeah our pickups will be able to smoke nearly all of them! It would be a great place to show off the trucks to people outside EV’s that get what we have.

They needed ~4 days to be able to handle all the RMV work. I’m not sure if they can transfer existing plates. I got new ones.

Oct ‘21 - I get the sense that I got lucky and they happened to have a config matching my order locally that allowed me to get earlier delivery.

Did your guide confirm that date? The website initially let me pick a delivery date that was sooner than they could meet. My guide came back with the info on when they could deliver. They needed ~4 days to be able to handle all the RMV work. I’m not sure if they can transfer existing plates. I got new ones.

Oh yeah I've been letting them set the dates. As soon as you get 8 steps you can jump to the end and pick a date (actually not a bad idea to pick your ideal time early), but was comical that today was an option, 36 hours after getting the email. I knew better. This is why he first selected next wednesday, but as we cranked through the steps moved to friday, then bumped to saturday for the extra Mass RMV BS.
He called again this morning to confirm everything is actually all done and set including the RMV and plate transfer. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm prepared for it to get pushed at the last minute.
I went through similar with the Model 3 and tesla shifting delivery back and forth by weeks, only for it to arrive with a trunk full of water and further delays (though they let me go meet it and sit inside). I love being an early adopter of things, and sign myself up for these kind of things
