Got the best text in the world yesterday...scheduled for Tuesday at 8 AM pickup - chose to pick up at the SC so I can drive it home instead of get delivery at home and have it sit in my garage until I get off work ?

Yet another Adventure ahead of a Launch Edition..... Rivian, you are impossible to understand.
Don't lose hope! Back on April 19th, I had NO CLUE how fast things were going to move - less than 1 month ago. Things have moved LIGHTNING fast since my first guide contact.
April 20 - First Drive calendar icon appears in my account.
April 23 - First Drive demo at my house - watched the truck drive away and was absolutely sure that would be the last I'd hear from Rivian for several months (I was a 1H23 original delivery window). Also shed some tears watching it drive away.
April 27 - happened to see the option to contact my guide when I was poking around in my Rivian account
April 29 - guide sends me intro email, scheduled my call for May 2 and she ends up calling me that same day because her schedule opened up (April 29). PBA signed.
May 3 - my guide told me my exact config was in production (she originally said I could potentially get a truck sooner if I was flexible on some config options). She said the truck was built and going through inspections
May 5 - received the email from Rivian to initiate the 8 step buying process
May 6 - 7 of the 8 steps of the buying process complete - step 8 is the schedule delivery
May 7 - Text from the Phoenix service center asking me when I want to schedule delivery or pickup
May 10 - Pickup scheduled

Another adventure with a really late over date to boot. I can't imagine nobody else ordered that configuration before April 2021.

At this point Rivian is really lucky there isn't a viable alternative.

We're (or at least I am) not losing hope, we (or at least I) just think it's f***ing ridiculous they are delivering vehicles to people who have been waiting barely a year when there are some who have been waiting for 3+ and haven't even heard a word (and have configs very similar if not the same as folks who are getting delivered).

Why Rivian isn't calling people in order by reservation date and saying "If you're not married to an LE we can get you into an adventure . . . " is completely befuddling, almost as befuddling as understanding why they are shipping adventures before they finished up their LEs. Hell sell me an adventure trim and I'll pay the extra for wheels, they'd make more money.

Again, this isn't about you or anyone else who's gotten a truck ahead of schedule, this is just a situation where Rivian is again completely botching the communications by not explaining to folks what they are doing and why.

I am 16 days since I signed my PBA. When I checked in with my guide last week, he said the vehicle was in production. We’ll see…
We are 23 days in since PBA signed and don't know when yet. I assumed things would happen fast but maybe they are changing how they are doing it. Good Luck.

In my experience the guide email will come, and you will book an intro call immediately. Things start to progress, slowly at first. The guides are clearly very busy (good thing on a macro level). You may even feel ignored or “ghosted”. Start getting your checklist together. Once it is your time, you will know. The action increases exponentially. Your account website, app and guide will spring to life. Your guide will reply almost immediately. And one day soon that chronic toxic excitement will transform to a child-like eager anticilation, akin to Christmas eve. Like me right now, you will probably not be able to sleep, and will retreat to your most comfortable place, and make your well rehearsed Rivian internet rounds one last time as a preorder holder.

Ok that was probably too much ?
That actually perfectly described it. Pick mine up in under 2 days and I'm freaking stoked.
