…Tonight on Chronicle, don’t miss Falk in Athol
Thanks. I just blew hot coffee out of my nose - AGAIN!

Weren't those the same guys/station that had the contest where they played the entire version of Hey Jude? The winner had to be the first caller after the song ended. That's 7 minutes, 6 seconds and is an eternity for drive-time FM radio. I recall correctly, they became a Country-Western station the very next day

so... why the announcement with no follow up of sending people to The Shop? I suppose The Shop is more theoretical at this point from these software geniuses.

I'd be interested to see how it works, but I doubt I will be part of any of the groups given my delivery date for my original double outcast configuration (Explore, Max Pack).

The email was indeed confusing. I have pre-ordered a R1S. It was such a long time ago. I believe I "may" get an email that gives me a choice of: Wait for my R1S, switch to a R1T, and if I switch to that model, depending on the color and available parts (20", 21" or 22") I may be able to get a truck, not SUV sooner. Early on I realized that I most likely would not be getting my R1S, so I doubled down and ordered a launch edition Fisker Ocean. Equally cool car. And as I"m not Joe offroad dude, it would work well for my life and lifestyle in LA. From what I hear on the Fisker chat sites, they will have 100 test mules completed by end of the month and so far there are NO production delays that have been publicly announced. In addition, Fisker has already failed once. I'm hoping he's learned a lot more about supply chain and production the second time around. Ideally I'd love to be able to wait for the Rivian. But at the end of the day, first one able to deliver to me wins. I don't want an R1T so I hope I get at least a bit of communication going forward. Sadly, not holding my breath. Anyone holding their breath?

Did you get the email yourself? Myself and other R1S folks have reported NOT getting it.

R1S with June/July window—I received the email. I chatted with CS today. She said that I am “currently” still set for June/July, but they are sending out updated windows starting middle of this week. She noted that the updated window emails will go out in batches, so I may not get one this week, it may be “in the coming weeks” (whatever that means). She did say it doesn’t necessarily mean my window is changing, but, well, I’m not holding my breath…

What the ****!!! I am a May/June Delivery Window and I received the email as well, and have tried to parse through what was written and obviously edited a few times by in-house lawyers. It seems the guides and CS are always the last ones to know what is going on with Rivian delivery information that is essential for pre-order holders that were expecting to get their vehicles in May/June after 3 years of waiting. Which the wait was fine, but don't tell me I get a window that you then jack around for the entire month of May and even jack around several other Mar/Apr/May window pre-order holders. I like many others on here, want to either know if my window is still good or it has been pushed back to XXX date or pushed back indefinitely so I can plan accordingly, as they say. Would it be that difficult, really?

I mean, the email does state that they will be updating you this week.

Perhaps your would have preferred to just receive the update on Thursday and not receive a heads up on Monday? I could understand that.

I just chatted with CS and I noticed a few things:

  1. Agent names are no longer shown. It just says Customer Service Representative.
  2. Agent refused to answer my questions other than copy and paste parts of the email from this morning. I asked about R1T windows and when our updated windows were coming. Agent said this week. I said that’s not what’s in the email. Then I got a rather harsh response of: that’s all you’re getting right now. Just watch out for the next email.
So basically CS isn‘t being told anything. The normal Rivian charm was not there today. I’m curious how many cancellations or angry R1S folks they dealt with today.

And if the email was not enough, what prompted me reaching out was seeing another 2022 reservation holder report they’re getting their truck!

I tried to push CS today for just a window for getting a new delivery window. They best CS could tell me is sometime in the next six months I should get a new delivery window. CS definitely is working with very little information.

This email, for me, triple confirms the delivery windows they sent us back in Dec '21 are meaningless. I think there was/is consensus on this fact here in the forum.

This email also tells me I might not get a new delivery window before the start of '23

"For all other preorder holders, we plan to share updated delivery window estimates on a rolling basis through the remainder of the year." ?

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that most Launch Edition R1Ts that got delivery windows have hit their windows so far in 2022. There are outliers that go both ways, but I wouldn't call them meaningless. Personally, I was May/June and took delivery June 1.

Today, CS confirmed I am still on track for delivery
If you had a 2022 delivery estimate you will be getting an email because you either will have an updated 2022 estimate OR your 2022 estimate will now be 2023. Either way you are in one of the 2 groups identified.
Just because you HAD a delivery window does not mean you now have a new window. You (or most likely me) may have no estimated new window even if the prior window is not valid

Right, but is their email this morning a real update or an something else because I read it as not providing much in the way of information or clarity and then it creates all the back and forth I have read today. I have always preferred direct communication about customer orders and not blast emails but Rivian has seems to hesitate doing any direct communication unless you are about to get your vehicle. Anyway, I get your point nonetheless...but today's emails seems somewhat worthless to most of us.
