Rivian Alexa Won’t Sends Texts

Took ownership of my R1T. So happy with it so far! Got everything set up except Alexa. It will make phone calls, but when I try to do a voice text it says it needs a paired data connection. Anyone have any idea how to do this or what this means? Even amazon doesnt know.

It's a known issue that doesn't appear to be on Rivian's List of things to improve. And Alexa has been having issues understanding and connecting on top of it for me. You know how bad it is when I'm using Siri 90% of the time or more.

Alexa stopped responding since the last update. Anyone else have this issue? Maybe I have to sign out/sign in?
