Rivian Transitioning to Railway Train Transport For Deliveries

Longest 5 weeks of my life. My guide told me when it arrived on the 3rd. This week has been excruciating slow. I even snuck over to the SC on Tuesday and snapped a pic of it. They were not very happy I was there. You can reach to the local sc. Google it and see if the number is listed. All they would tell me was that it arrived. My guide said their hands are tied, the sc lets them know when it's ready.

I would of done the same thing! I am on 2 weeks of my most likely 5. It hurts and not even half way yet. I keep watching the forum for other peoples timelines so thanks for posting about it.

Tuesday was the 1st available. I agree 13 days is excessive. Apparently the El Segundo center is very swamped at the moment.

Yeah, I get the feeling they do not have the ability/permission to get much detailed info around this. After being told there's no way to know when it left, and it's 6-8 weeks from some date unknown, I got a text shortly after saying there is good news - my vehicle will be ready 'very very soon'. I hope very very soon means today. lol

Wow, that was unexpected. I just got a call from Rivian to schedule my pickup. Getting it picked up on Sat - the day my check expires. Glad this worked out. It was the earliest date available.

I guess the R1S delivery is going to be even more delayed!
add 3 to 4 weeks after guide contact!

Our trucks are probably on the same train. I got a vin on 8/2 and had the 7 steps done by 8/3. Guide said it was on a train to SF on 8/5.

They must have recently gotten a batch of AT wheels. My vin is 5xxx, LG/BM/20AT. I had actually gotten a guide and confirmed at the end of May. Was expecting the truck early July. In the June delivery update they reset my delivery window to November, which my guide “confirmed” was accurate. Who knows!

Well guys, it really happened. Got my truck an hour ago! San Diego location had a few up front but not much. Other than a few minor issues the truck is amazing.

Picked up my R1T today. Got a call yesterday to schedule delivery and I got it today. Absolutely worth the wait. I haven’t felt this happy got this much joy from driving a vehicle in a long time.
