You own one but asking if they're unreliable?
I've owned 5 Tesla's now since 2015 and 2 Rivian R1T's. The amount of small issues I've had are very comparable between both brands - that has been my experience.
I'm still annoyed that they didn't make the crossbars interchangeable between R1 and R2. I would hope they are going to phase out the old R1 style and make them the same as R2 going forward over time.
Same for me. Being able to just stick surfboards in there to drive is nice and no worries of forgetting the boards are on top and pulling into the garage lol
I think you need to get quote from all 4: Recurrent, CarMax, Driveo, and Carvana
I've been getting quotes continually for the past 3-4 months from all 4 and it's interesting to see the price variance and how they change over time. Driveo was consistently the highest until this past week...
yeah, the range most EV's have are more than sufficient for your daily needs. My wife has the Model 3 RWD with 272 mile range but has never had any issues with range.
She does love that every morning she wakes up with a full 'tank' and never having to go to the gas station again. Our other...
From what I can decipher, he bought it from some used dealership, but trying to get the issues resolved at a service center.
For #1 do a test drive with the service technician which they normally offer to do - they'll be able to listen to id while you drive and give feedback
#2 - this very well...
I’m a bit surprised the drop window isn’t standard across all. So if you surf and wanted it hanging out the window instead of on top, sorry you have to upgrade lol
Tesla doesn't give any significant amount of discounts but Rivian certainly does.
I got my 2023 Dual Large Performance R1T for $562/mo lease with just $1k down plus taxes/fees/registration up front back in 9/2024 with rebates applied, clearance discounts, and other additional discounts they...
Yeah, the paint pricing is a bit ridiculous. I guess that's how they're trying to increase their profit margin. lol
We might end up seeing a lot of silver and white R2's
I hear a lot of mention how FSD on Tesla really help with long drives...but for those long stretches, I don't find that you need FSD. Any of the many cars equipped with lane maintain and traffic aware cruise control can pretty much do the same for free. We've done many road trips in both our...
But to the OP point - I sincerely hope you did not do all that research and then expect that every time you take your car in for service you would get a loaner. Because that's unrealistic and something you could have found out very easily during your research. I would never own a Rivian if I...
