I like that idea but if they do that, I hope it shows very clearly on the screen that either of those are in trial mode so that people don't trick second hand buyers into thinking it has it, and paying more because of that. Plenty of unscrupulous people out there that I can see taking advantage...
I was solely Tesla owner from 2015 until 2022 when I got the first R1T's that came out, and now on my second R1T. We still have a Tesla (my wife's Model 3) and we're upgrading hers for the R2.
But I have no problem owning Tesla again in the future. I couldn't care less what a CEO of a company...
Although I'd be inclined to say just keep the R1, I wouldn't want to own one out of warranty based on the experiences I have had with my two R1's. So just for that fact, I would get the R2.
From what I understand...no longer good in an EV but there's still plenty of life in it. say even if it only had 70% capacity left, as a driver, you'd swap it out, but for backup solution in a home setting, it's still very useful and for many years to come.
My powerwall is set to only drain...
He’s still posting new messages on Facebook claiming that they offered a new vehicle even though the letter that he even wrote to Rivian never states that he was offered a new vehicle except a vehicle to his betterment, not detriment. But he keeps insisting on the post on Facebook that they were...
Maybe ask if he can take it to a mechanic near by who can take the shield off. You don't need to be a master tech to figure out how to take that cover off just to snap a few pics for you on what it looks like under that panel.
Right? And from the letter that he himself wrote, it seems maybe it was just a confusion of wording, since they said new vehicle, but probably meant replace with a new-to-you vehicle...as in, not fixing the damaged truck.
But I agree with you that most of us would be utterly shocked but be...
And I assume he's claiming the home charger is not compatible since the plug is different. lol
And the spare tire kit (assuming he's talking about the kit including the spare wheel itself), probably since he's trying to select a different truck with different wheels.
Wow….im speechless. And since they wouldn’t give him this he goes out reaching out to media to try to get coverage.
Yes I also feel bad for what happened to him but he needs to be reasonable and accept compensation that’s in proportion to what happened.
I think you missed some of the clarification posts. They did offer him a comparable truck but he’s insisting a brand new truck along with other crazy demands.
Just for our humor, can you post the letter here? I rather not search and find it, adding more clicks/views to whoever thought this was newsworthy to create an article around it.
I agree. Any reasonable person would accept that. But it appears this owner is saying since he was told new vehicle, regardless of how unreasonable that is, they can’t take it back. He’s not looking to be compensated at face value what he deserves plus maybe some extra for his inconvenience...
I’m not either but unsprung weight is not a 1:1. Any weight you add to wheels, the rotating mass, causes more impact. I just know this from the days I raced in auto cross, lighter wheels even a few pounds make a difference.
but in posting this, you must think that compensation of the value of the truck and some extra to cover the inconvenience is not sufficient? Why do you feel he should get a brand new truck to replace the current one?
if it’s simply based on a incorrect statement made by an advisor, do you...
