did u do anything to make a test drive happen or just luck of the R draw?

I’m an LE holder in DFW and still nothing. Looks like the Hawes facility is still behind, so I’m assuming that is the major holdup. Only a few trucks at the location but looked like employee cars.

I agree. I had my first mile drive the week before last, and the rep said that they were hoping to be in 2 weeks. Something about the electricity provider holding things up. That day they had a concrete contractor pouring some driveway/apron, looked to be for service entry. She said they were not doing any deliveries right now because the permanent location wasn't ready.

I received my "Prepare for the Digital Purchasing Process" on 8/9, but crickets since.

Wanted to ask if anyone with the oct-dec 2022 delivery window got lucky and assigned a guide? I only ask cause i know one person who was contacted who had that estimated delivery date.

I have a Dec 22/Jan 23 delivery date and my guide contacted me two weeks ago. Had a conversation with her last week and she was great. No updates on my date but I'm hoping this is a good sign. My config is Limestone, 21" road wheels and OC interior (now that they changed it I actually like it better).

Nope. Just received an email to schedule it at the local service center. I'm lucky enough to be close to the El Segundo service center and the Venice hub. I've sat in a few at the hub so the first mile was just driving and exploring the settings.

According to my account page I got a guide assigned a week ago, but I wasn't notified and I haven't received any contact from my guide. I'm a May 2021 pre-order scheduled for Nov-Dec, but since I'm going for Ocean Coast I probably won't get mine early. To everyone getting theirs early, thank you in advance for being QA guinea pigs so my truck can be perfect.

Oh, and I did get a shop invite. It has been empty every time I checked. Seattle area folks are clamoring for this truck.

I have a pre-order from April 2021. After the pricing increase/decrease, I had changed my original order to the manual tonneau cover. After chatting with a local Rivian sales rep during my test drive this past July, he alluded that I might switch back to the automatic tonneau cover in order to up my delivery time. (He hadn't seen or heard of a single manual cover being delivered as of yet). My estimated delivery date is currently Dec/Jan, but I had just received an invite to the R1T shop on Aug 17th. Before I could even do much browsing in the shop, I lost access on Aug 24th. The same day, I saw I was assigned a Guide in my account, and saw that I had a VIN. On the 24th and 25th of August, I received all of my official (purchase process e-mails). Reached out to my guide to try and get more details, and he said my R1T was in transit to the Denver SC, and that I could expect a delivery date over the next 2 weeks.

My build is the Glacier White exterior, Black Mountain interior, Adventure Package, 20" All terrain wheels, automatic tonneau cover.

From everything I've read from other customers, it appears Rivian is ramping up production a fair amount. Pretty exciting. Will update once I hear more on a delivery date.

Got the confirm config email on 7/24, confirmed the next day with the guide, website shows my config is confirmed and nothing since then. Got excited but lost some of that excitement sitting here in limbo; was really hoping to have it by the Overland Expo this past weekend and also want to get out to do some fall camping before winter hits.

From "recent" deliveries that folks are posting about, it seems as though once you've been assigned a VIN, a guide, and confirm your configuration, it's been approximately 1-2 weeks from that point to delivery. The factors the make this timeline vary are (delivery location, transit time for vehicle to reach your destination, inspection, available delivery dates). You and I seemed to get our VIN/Guide/8 steps at the same time. I'm just happy to potentially have the truck in Sept, and not having to wait until early next year . Best of luck to you.

Logged into Rivian.com today and have a guide assigned, through the graphql it says "Selected for fulfilment" very exciting. I am in the DFW area.

11/21. In talking with the SC they were doing slow deliveries for a few weeks until they were fully moved into the new SC. They are starting to pick back up now.
