No, just curious given our DM history and your question about my “obsessing”. Also, if you cared so much for this community, why didn’t you disclose the broken tonneau in your OP?! Rhetorical question.Sure did. Are you trying to catch me in some kind of ‘gotcha’ here?
For those that don’t have visibility into our DM chat history, here’s a summary:
1) I was very interested in this R1T, so I asked OP, via DM last night, if they had “title in hand” as I was a cash buyer. Reply was you don’t need one in WA to sell a car. WTF?! I replied with a screenshot of the facts. OP continues to push it’s not needed and sends me a link, which I didn’t click. Instead, I reported the thread and suggested admin help the OP out with the facts. Later, OP posts the “Update”. Could be an honest misunderstanding, sure.
2. I looked into the OPs limited post history and found a three page thread where OP shared (1st week in August) how his R1T was wrecked by the SC (Yeah that stinks). Three pages of rant about diminished value, lawyers and more. Never shared (until late last night) that they got a replacement truck - after I called into question him having a two week old truck for sale here. Later last night, OP added to the wrecked thread his car was replaced with new. Could be the OP just didn’t feel like closing the loop with all those members who offered advice back then, sure.
3) Asked several other questions about the truck in my first and subsequent DMs, that OP never answered. Also offered the OP suggestions on how to use Rivian to facilitate a transfer to private owner. Op never responded. Perhaps OP missed them, could happen.
4. This morning, OP shares he has a $100k Carvana offer - When members question that, and why then they are still here peddling the truck for the same $100,000, OP posts they accepted the $100,000 Carvana offer. Perhaps Carvana did offer them $100k, but it seems odd they would still be here wanting to help out this community when they didn’t even disclose the truck has a broken Tonneau cover to same community.
So, you all can form your own opinion. For me, there were just too many “irregularities” to continue to pursue this vehicle.
All the best to the OP and congrats for getting a full asking price offer from Carvana.
