Oh and to be clear, I ordered an R1T in 9/20 and have no delivery date at all. Nothing! Zip! Nada! I won't even get a date until January 2023. Something about prioritizing deliveries near service centers. OK, fine. But you tell me this Late October 2022???? Like Rivian didn't know this was going to be the plan until today? LOL, OK. And BTW, there goes an extra $7500 out the window as my wife's employer was extending that amount to employees who bought an EV in 2022.

I am about over this sh1t.

Is this like the Trick.......Maybe we will get our treat on Halloween.....Just kidding about the delays and no windows. everyone will be getting their vehicle over the next 3- 6 months

i just went round and round in circles with a CS rep. I told her I didn’t understand how I went from a 1h23 window to a 2024 window without somehow losing my spot in line. I said that based on what others have posted, i should have a summer or fall 23 window. We agreed it wasn’t my configuration, which is standard or my location because I didn’t get that email about needing a CS center location. She said it all comes down to my reservation date, which I said should put me around sep23. I asked if the fact that I changed from the white to black interior a few months ago moved me to the back of the line and she said no. I asked her if there were any changes to my configuration that would help. She said no.

I am pretty frustrated. There are lots of ways for a business to handle these situations but a total lack of transparency and consistency is a not a recipe for success.

I wish they would provide a breakdown of the pre-orders between the T and S. It really does seem like the back half of the preorders might be more heavily weighted on the S putting a lot more people in front of you.

At least most of you seem to have windows. I haven’t read all 36 pages of the thread yet (on a road trip, have been driving) so I apologize if my comments don’t reflect the most up to date info

I don’t normally get too wound up about this stuff, but after opening my email I’m fully pissed.

I ordered in October, 2019.

I live less than 5 miles from a service center, which is open and active.

My order is for an R1S, but there have been R1Ts delivered locally to me for months. Some of those orders were placed long after mine.

I’ve visited the service center (Memphis) and talked with the people there. Most of the trucks in for service had Nashville tags (Davidson county). Nashville is 200 miles away, so they’re delivering trucks into markets 200 miles from the nearest service center.

the email stated in part:

“The delivery window estimate in your Account has been temporarily set to “Processing new estimate” as we finalize plans for when we’ll have a Service Center in your area. We plan to update your Account with a delivery window in January 2023.”

I’m really hoping this is a mistake. But this is incredibly bad communication.

A lot of people like to complain about Tesla, and as a company they’ve definitely not been perfect, but I’ve driven a Tesla and followed the forums for most of the last eight years. I’ve never seen this level of weapons grade stupidity in communication.

I have a say that I'm a little disappointed, my page has not updated with any kind of estimate. Granted, I'm a very late reservation holder (June '22), but I was assuming that *all* reservation holders would get estimates, not just those that are far enough along to have a guide and locked in configurations (which seems to be the case based on earlier posts).
I had no expectation that I was going to be receiving an R1T anytime in the immediate future, but was looking forward to having a hint of a timetable.

Mine is set to processing… won’t have a date until Jan probably b/c i live too far from a service center WTF… can’t wait to see how many cancellations happen…
I got the same, and I live less than 5 miles from a a service center, with an October 2019 preorder.
They are flat bedding trucks from more than 200 miles away here for service, right next to my neighborhood.

reservation date: Jan 2022
Original estimate: 2H of 2022.

I have adventure pack and black mountain interior (not ocean coast).
Seems like this is very random selection of delivery window.
