Don't waste your time. Some R1S order holders believe there is a grand conspiracy afoot. They have lots of feelers and hunches and "sixth senses" about the new windows and what's behind the recent delays in the new estimates.

Nevermind that T order holders have been watching the Rivian lottery in amazement for over a year now.

Nevermind that many T orders also got delayed with the announcement.

They are on the case and facts be damned, they will expose the whole system!

Anyone else have this experience? My status on the app was listed as "Confirmed" for Dec 2022-January 2023 as of the Friday update. Great news!

Today I got on the website and it immediately prompted me to confirm my config and delivery address and check the box that I understand changing after that would impact delivery timing. Upon hitting submit, my status went to "Processing". Hearing that "Processing" means they will update again next quarter, I got a little anxious.

Did I just goof...or am I on my way to an R1S?

There was someone else who had a similar thing happen after they made a small change to their configuration (post announcement). Sounds like it probably didn't actually change the estimate, just put it back into "processing" until the next time they calculate.

Based on your preorder date you haven't been around here long enough...Seems to me that I may have hurt your feelings...Speaking to facts since the date you ordered is in your signature...

it seems like whoever placed the order with higher price (after the price hike) gets prioritized

2021 order holder with extremely common configuration got 2024 delivery window. completely ridiculous but I guess legally Rivian can do whatever they believe it's the best financial outcome.

about what I expected...placed the order in April of 2022.

I'm almost thinking to switch to R1T, if the delivery will be sooner, but really disappointed

So any change to the order, ie. getting rid of accessories will delay the initial pre-order info from October 16th? I'm assuming any change means any change not just the color/wheel choices.

You can add and remove accessories once contacted by your guide to confirm order, I believe. So in that case, I wouldn't touch the order at this point as your current delivery date will go away and you'll just see "processing." Will it have a actual impact or delivery date, anyones guess..

I added front end of vehicle sealant option, now it says recalculating.... lmao this is my 4th window change since pre-ordered 04/2021 : only options are CY paint & the new sealant for front of R1S. BM interior+wood ash included. Nothing else selected, to keep it below 80k ($7.5k Federal tax reduction).

Update 2022-12: Just ordered my personal license plate from TX DMV:
