I'm surprised that deliveries of the Rivian EDVs for Amazon are so few in number. I wonder if this bodes ill for Rivian making its 25k vehicle delivery production target?

My bad, should have stated "production" not "delivery." Corrected now but the question still remains in terms of the goal. While more than 1,000 EDV's must have been produced for that number to have been delivered to Amazon, the actual production goal for the year must be closer to 10k than to 1,000. Perhaps the goal was more modest than 10,000 EDV's for the year, but two months is a pretty short amount of time to make up a significant shortfall, even it it's not 9,000 units.

They were at 1000 EDVs produced more than 3 months ago. Vast majority of them were probably units from this year, not last.

People are reading waaaaay too much into this article about "over 1,000" Amazon EDV as a predictor of Rivian actual production.

I may be misremembering, but I believe on one of the investor calls they mentioned fall was going to be more EDV heavy because of the holiday season so it’s possible that EDV production and delivery will be unevenly skewed toward the latter half of the year.

I just came home to find one driving around my neighborhood (Richmond, CA). I of course stopped the driver to ask what he thought of the van. He said he loves the power and visibility. They've got 3 at their warehouse and he's one of the lucky few assigned to drive it. Sounds like my neighborhood is its regular route so I'll maybe see it every day now. Time to order more Amazon crap...
