When I got my truck in August (vin 95xx) I got an indication that it was built in late June 2022. Still this makes me wonder if Rivian is going to hit the 25K mark before the end of the year.

Anyone remember if the R1S vin #'s are separate from the T's? If so and they are currently delivering vins in the 17K range of R1T then it seems they would make or beat the 25K production milestone for 2022.

IIRC R1T VIN's started at 1,000, some of the first R1S VIN's that showed up on the auction sites were in the 100-999 range. Now we are seeing R1S VINS in the 2,XXX range and 13,XXX range. At this point it's kind of hard to keep a running total because the R1S VIN's are all over the place.

To answer your question, 8/12. But I had also canceled my original order when they announced the price increase on 3/1. When they announced that they would honor the preorder pricing, i reactivated my original order.

Would be nice if people could start giving build month/year with vin sequence number. That would help understand where they might be.

Keep in mind, the commitment is to build 25k, really seems like the deliveries are still a pinch point.

I’ve read in other threads that the 25,000 was a total of all vehicles. R1T’s, R1S’s and Amazon Delivery vans. Hard to say if they’ll hit that number. If Rivian does, I’m sure it’ll be in the news
