8 steps opened up yesterday for me. Vin assigned 16xxx range. 6 steps done. Initial guide call tomorrow. I've been told that the truck is built and waiting for rail transport. Looks like I might not get it before the end of the year, unless trains are running fast.

So I I have a slight dilemma (not really), I have the option to pick up my truck tomorrow or next week. I'm available for both options but we have a big snow storm coming in tonight into Friday night . Would you wait until next week or grab it tomorrow?

If it were me, a vehicle with new driving characteristics, known idiots on the road. Would rather have fair weather pick up to avoid unsightly dents :)

I was a Feb ‘23 - Mar ‘23 delivery estimate, but got my 8-step and VIN today with a 3-6 week delivery in Austin from my guide.

Jan ‘22 pre-order - R1T, Adventure/large pack/Limestone/Ocean Coast-Dark Ash/20” AT/Underbody Sheilds/Spare/Manual Tonneau

11/11 - Config Confirmation
11/29 - First Mile
12/14 - VIN & 8-Step
12/20 - Delivery step opened & scheduled
12/23 - Rivian charger arrives
12/28 - Delivery

I did confirm it’s a ‘22 model year -
Update - delivery step opened yesterday, apparently arrived in Austin 12/19, passed inspection on 12/20 and scheduled for delivery on 12/28!

I was in same boat: I could pick up my R1T in Denver Friday or Saturday. Weather just too chancy on Friday, and Saturday is Christmas Eve and I didn't want to have to rush it to get home in time for family stuff (plus Saturday gonna be cold as crap too). I'm getting on the 28th. It hurts to wait, but I want a nice day to learn it and not feel rushed to get home (and the trip has some areas that can suck in snow).

Correct. R1T Large pack. Just trying to get a sense of where I am in line.
I'm of no help to you, but you just got ME a little depressed! I'm 01/2022 R1T w/OC, and no contact whatsoever, but compared to you, I guess I've got no room to complain.

Fingers crossed for you, @Taiga.

This don’t sound right, I’m 1/2022 in pdx and confirmed 11/11. Have you bugged customer service?

I "chatted" with CS today. They said nothing looks wrong on my account and I should be getting an updated delivery window in January and that my window won't change. Go figure.

Appreciate the encouragement... But, Yes, I've reached out at least a half-dozen times. I keep trying to think up good reasons to call/chat without worthlessly pestering Customer Service too much. Like Taiga said, despite the info presented to us, it does appear that the O.C. interior induces some delays. Still happy with my delivery window, but would love to get the ball rolling.

For the West coasters, my guide told me there are no incoming shipments of new vehicles this way for the remainder of the year.. so pretty bluntly said dont hold out hope, if you want your config its going to be in 2023 (YMMV). I never received access to the shop after asking (nicely) twice over two months. Not sure if OC is slowing down deliveries, I would say if anything, it might be easier to get OC R1T over BM as the R1S is only being made with BM so some material(s)/ resources may be directed that way.

I hope i got some incorrect info and more people on the West are able to get matched before the end of year, but I’m going to enjoy the holidays and stop thinking about it. :)

Picked up my R1T today (one day earlier than originally scheduled) based on Dallas SC contacting me. No quality issues noticed yet. Further checking to be done tomorrow. Really enjoying the vehicle now.

By the way SC guy told me that they received almost 90 vehicles in a week. Good for Dallas Folks.

I’ve pretty much decided it’s at least February. I doubt the Portland SC will be open before march, so they probably aren’t in a hurry here.
