Not to mention irony. Complaining about the poor reception EV drivers get while slandering everyone in a large gas truck. Basically being extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming to an entire group of people while complaining that group doesn’t accept them.Wow, the bigotry here.....
Stellantis does want to sell EVs. Remember that they are a Dutch/French company. That’s part of their concern - they are late to the game and don’t have a supportive market base for EVs in the US.Your mistake is assuming Stellantis actually wants to sell EVs.
I didn't have issues with any lifted pickups when I was driving the Hummer through red states but it was bigger than a lot of their trucks already anyway.
I think a lot of the ignorant people just assume Rivian is an Asian car company because they look different.
I made that comment and I GUARANTEE there’s no lack of self awareness about it being offensive to some. You missed my point and you are taking it out of context. The vast majority of truck drivers are not bubbas, it is a very small minority. I truly don’t care what anyone drives. I drive a Chevy Avalanche with modified jacked/suspension. I live in a very rural area where most people drive pickups, and you can tell which neighbors got guns for Christmas because they are outside shooting. I have friends, neighbors and employees who drive large trucks. None of them are bubbas. None of them give EV drivers the finger, or roll coal on an EV. That’s what Bubba does. Bubba is the person, not the vehicle.….it’s funny to see those talk about bubba being a backwards asshole and lacking the self awareness to realize that comment is the exact sort of thing that is as offensive to anyone with a large truck from a rural area as what the initial complaint of the thread is.
Well I'm here to tell you that comments like those make other people feel as though you are targeting them and are unfair stereotypes. That's just like those who say the N word doesn't apply to THOSE Blacks because they are "good" ones. Saying that phrase would be extremely offensive to ALL Black people because you're using a very hurtful stereotype.I made that comment and I GUARANTEE there’s no lack of self awareness about it being offensive to some. You missed my point and you are taking it out of context. The vast majority of truck drivers are not bubbas, it is a very small minority. I truly don’t care what anyone drives. Best/most accurate post of the entire discussion! There are losers on both sides of the political fence...
It sounds like there's a bit of little d*ck syndrome here from both sides of the fence and between ICE and EV drivers.Around my ways we call this little d*ck syndrome. ?
Once you tow with the Rivian you won’t want to go back. The only reason I’d go back to my diesel is for trips over 100 miles. We live in the western Florida Panhandle. Many of the folks here are "Good Ole Boys", which is a "Bubba" with a college degree. Most of these folks lean to the right, but have not fallen off the edge of the earth. There are many jacked up pick ups here, but most are half tons trying to look like oil burners. They are all bark and no bite. I have yet to see one go after a Tesla or Nissan Leaf. They mainly like to show off for the tourists up at the Publix parking lot.
We actually drive a real oil burner. We have a 2020 Chevrolet 2500 Duramax. We need it to pull our 7,500# Airstream Travel Trailer. We are some of the earliest Rivian adopters (11/28/2018) and plan to pull the Airstream with our R1T. We will be taking delivery of our Rivian at the Factory in about two weeks. We already have a VIN and are completing all the paperwork as we speak.
We will soon have a garage where a "Bubba" truck and an EV truck share the same space.

So...50 miles out and 50 back?Once you tow with the Rivian you won’t want to go back. The only reason I’d go back to my diesel is for trips over 100 miles.
