I am also thinking a bad frunk button. The inside emergency release button has nothing near it.
I also disengaged the power frunk operation. The frunk still opened and closed.
I just went outside to the truck and tried the manual frunk release button. It felt like it was returning to the neutral position. On the first try, it opened the frunk. It would not close it. I closed it with my phone. The manual button would not open the frunk again.
We have had our R1T since new(3 1/2 years). Yesterday, our frunk lid went crazy. It started opening and closing without any input from us. This behavior continues today. The frunk has opened and closed at least 50 times on its own. We are afraid to drive the truck. We have tried every tip that...
We have been using our R1T's kneel mode for almost 3 years now, and have found it very useful. The only complaint I have is that it moves rather slowly when trying to drop someone off. I like the idea of activating the kneel mode when coming to a stop.

We are almost three years into our R1T experience. We have really loved Opal (our R1T) and she continues to serve us well.
We just replaced our main Airstream tow vehicle with a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Duramax. We are waiting for an EV truck that has the range that we need for cross...
We were very early adopters (11/28/2018). SuEllyn thought that Rivian would be something special from the very beginning. The wait was long. We attended a Rivian private expo in Denver in the Summer of 2019. We were very impressed with the prototypes on display. We got to talk directly with RJ...
Thanks for the pics. I hope to get down there to see it in person. I grew up at 151 SW 11th street, just a couple of blocks from there. Brickle Avenue sure looks different fifty years later.

We are out on the road with the R1T. We are camped in Foley, Alabama with our Airstream travel trailer. We are in the process of charging the Rivian on a Level 2 50 amp RV outlet. At one point, the fan in the truck became quite loud. Is this normal. We charge at home with a Level 2 Rivian wall...
Opal remained unlocked all night. She was on a level 2 charger. This morning around 8AM I was sitting in the Airstream when I heard Opal do her locking hoot. I had not touched my phone or the key FOB. I went out to Opal and found that she was locked and all the door handles were in. As I...
With the errant door handle out. I can open the door from the outside. I can also open the other doors by pushing on the forward part of the handle like you can do in "car wash " mode. The handle remains out when the truck is put in drive. No. I cannot lock it from the inside.

The answer id YES, the Rivian can tow that piece of equipment without straining. We tow a 25' Airstream travel trailer that weighs 7,400#. Our R1T pulls it just fine. We also have a 2020 3/4 ton Duramax Diesel. The R1T has about the same torque and twice the horsepower of the Duramax.
The R1T...
Opal (our R1T) has developed a strange door lock issue. Her right rear door will not lock. The other three door handles fold but the right rear stays extended. On the phone app she shows as unlocked. Trying to lock from the phone and the key fob does not work. I did a hard reset to no avail. I...
I have been asking for one minor update for years. I have always wanted the vehicle odometer to be shown on the driver screen along with the trip odometers which would be resettable from one of the steering wheel buttons. This has always seemed like a relatively simple thing to accomplish. They...
We have a Rivian Blue R1T. We have had her for almost 2 1/2 years. She sits outside in the Florida sun and we are three houses off the Ocean. Her paint looks as good as it did when it was new.
