It's been 6 hours and I can't access the app or my account....... This is not normal, something mayor happened with our data..... I always carry the physical key but Im worry about my privacy..... There were no communication with Rivian, no emails, no apologies, nothing...... Whats going on with our data !!!!!

We've identified an issue that limits your ability to use your "phone as a key" functionality.

What should I do?
  • Drivers will need to carry another form of vehicle access (key fob, key card, key band) as these keys still have full functionality.
  • For now, avoid opening or using the Rivian app.

What should I do in case of emergency?
If you're experiencing an emergency, please dial 911.

If you need your vehicle remotely unlocked, please contact our Service Team at 855-RIVIAN5 (855-748-4265), we may be able to assist. Note that “phone as a key” will not function until this issue is resolved.

The Service team can also provide rideshare credits to impacted drivers.

How long do you think this issue will persist?
We'll continue to update you until the issue is resolved.

We are experiencing issues impacting the Rivian app, customer Account Pages, and website functionality. We are actively working on a resolution.

To access and drive your Rivian, you will need to use your key fob, key card or key band. These keys are not impacted and still have full functionality.

If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911. At this time, we are unable to remotely access your vehicle. If you are locked out of your vehicle, and need to retrieve your key fob, key card or wrist band, we will provide rideshare credits at 855-RIVIAN5 (855-748-4265).

B- rivian has sent out two emails about the issue

That's BS, I never got an email from them and even if you got one I would not believe it..... How can they be so stupid that you run a company and part of your company is based on an app and you don't have redundancy....... it's been almost 12 hours and the app is still down. SUCKS !!!!

You better carry the little card for ever, because if you rely on the app, you are f.....
