@EVSportline what is the projected ship date for the first batch of R1S Sliders?
s00n....ha ha. First production sample is due any day; we need to confirm on truck, then spool up!

Just got my EVSportline Sliders installed at the EVSportline/TSportline facility in Van Nuys. The staff and crew there did a great job. While I was there they had a bronze and black set of R800 wheels also!

First about the sliders. These things are BEEFY!! The finish provides ample grip and appears very durable. The underside shielding is also very well designed. EVSportline did an outstanding job with the design and installation of these sliders.

In regards to the R800 wheels…they look so good in person, pictures on the website don’t do them justice. The crew were nice enough to install the wheels to see what each color would look like. The offset provided a slightly more aggressive stance but still plenty of clearance at all suspension ride heights. I’m currently leaning towards the black wheels because they flowed so well with my white truck and really makes the truck look so much more aggressive. Once again, pictures really don’t do these wheels justice.

Running boards installed! Thanks to great customer support @EV Sportline, two missing washers and the four rear brackets that didn’t fit were replaced a week later (mostly shipping time from east to west coast.

I ended up using a Dremel to cut slots in the plastic panels. Turns out I didn’t need to cut the horizontal parts of the L and instead made room for that portion of the brackets by trimming off the relevant perpendicular supporting plastic “fins” on the inside of the panels. This measuring, cutting and readjusting of the slots took probably a few hours in aggregate so it was a slow process, but the end result is a minimal alteration of the plastic covers.
Huge thanks to @EV Sportline for an amazing product and to @jebinc for the terrific welting mod! Oh yeah!

Cut the eight 4" round holes today. Super easy with the templates printed out (actual size is key). Running boards should deliver today too but since FedEx I expect will be 1-2 days late as usually with them...

Looking forward to quick remainder of install as my partner is 5'3" and complains about getting in and out ha versus our F150 with automatic boards.

These really should be a factory option in the future.

Was this true for all the “L” shaped cutouts? Love the clean look!

Realized I hadnt looked at the tape I put over the round holes since I installed. Been just over a month and about 2k miles.

Tape looks just as good (/ugly) as it was when I installed. Holding up well.

My tape skills werent the best but its doing the job and its out of sight.

Yes! This is possible for all of them, but the rearmost ones require a bit more clearance in order to get the bolts and nuts on. I also had to use a U-joint with the socket wrench to get those fully tightened. Just be prepared to take a lot of time to measure and cut those slots. EV Sportline’s paper templates are AWESOME but due to slight factory install differences, even these are off by some amount, and in one case there was one slot off by almost an inch. I started with the templates and used them (initially not taped to the plastic covers) to find rough starting points by aligning the reference points to those on the truck and noting where the brackets actually touched the paper. After that I cut the paper to confirm the locations and then taped them to the plastic covers and cut using the Dremel. Then I lined up the cover on the truck and adjusted the slot as needed for the bracket to fit through. After that, trim an extra amount for what’s needed from the matching bracket on the running board, plus a little bit for the top screw head. It’s a lot of work, but worth it if you’re all OCD like me and want the cleanest look possible. My wife said I should have spent the extra time playing with the kids instead. She’s probably right. ?

Nice write-up. Still waiting for mine but I think I will try following your lead.

Kids are out of the house, and aren’t they supposed to be self-sufficient anyway?

Cool. I hope you get it soon and the install goes smoothly. Looking forward to seeing pictures when it’s done!

@EV Sportline (or anyone else) you wouldn't happen to have any install partners in Minnesota would you? I'm looking to get the rocksliders installed for me once they arrive. If anyone happens to have any suggestions, it would be appreciated. Thank you!
