I'm contemplating upgrading to the Black 20" AT wheels (on my 2nd Rivian, next order) and am curious if anyone who has had them for awhile has any regrets or complaints? Easily scratch? Winter chemical road treatments stain / ruin these wheels?

I'm 8,000 miles in on mine since April with no complaints at all. Cant comment on winter road treatment causing issues though.

FWIW, EVLander and Charged Overland have said the 20 Darks and Brights aren't the best for offroad since they both damage easily. The offset between the wheels and tire don't provide a ton of margin for error.

I'm only at 1500 miles with mine and they are still pristine, but I have a feeling they will get some scratches. I've never been one to worry about that much though. It's a truck.

I bought his damaged wheels, can confirm scratched from his adventures

nothing too bad actually just don't expect to do rock crawling adventures and expect everything to look pristine afterwards, local wheel shops can generally buff out and powder coat to fix for $100-200

I have the dark AT wheels, and they are holding up wonderfully after 15k miles. Just the slightest swirling or scratching that isn't noticeable from more than 6" away.

They have exceeded my expectations.

The darks are hands down the best looking. I installed in May. About 5k on them and no blemishes yet. Granted only fire trails, so non technical wheeling. Fundamentally, it is a truck as others have said and little scratches tell stories.

If you are coming from 21s with AS tires, expect a 10% hit in range.

Super happy with ours on our RS1 at about 5k miles. No real plans to offroad it though.

I had the darks on my R1T for 12k miles and they were like new when I traded it for the R1S (with darks). I did have the wheels ceramic coated at the same time and that made cleaning them much easier. I will say you need to pay attention to the curbs when you are parking. The flat face of the wheel makes it easier to curb them if you are too close.

I have a few scratches from rocks/gravel sections. The probably wouldn’t show as much on a non-black rim.
