That is totally against their normal rollouts. They always start with top of the line fully loaded configurations.

I will be very surprised if the first ones out are not over 110k.

They will probably have some lower priced specs announced but you will not see them until 2025 if ever.
Only reason it might not be the top trim is if they haven't actually figured out how to accomodate enough batteries for the advertised top range yet. Same reason Rivian didn't ship our R1Ts that way.

Here is the reality with the huge dash you say is wasted space, in a traditional pickup the bulk of that so called wasted space would be outside the truck where that mass of air would collide with the more angled windshield causing significant drag, were you planning on gluing items on your hood to as not waste that space? Many uses for that space, putting building blue prints there comes to mind.
You've never had a piece of paper on your dash before have you? You can't see shit if there is any sun out at all. That's why dash materials are always darker colors.

How many years now since the initial Cyber Truck unveiling? I still think it has to be a joke...it just has to be. Its that bad.
It'd help explain the F-150 wrap to me. "Well actually the truck is going to be more shaped like this"

SS is Tesla's secret sauce. As others have stated, Tesla developed its own SS recipe and has not shared it publicly.
so not really 300 series then.

The stainless steel on the cyber truck will definitely be in the 300 series. We just don’t know which one as we don’t know what the composition of their final product is going to be. Once it hits the market and someone tears it down, they’ll be able to figure out what the composition of the stainless steel is.

the whole point is that the dash area is not wsted space and yes lighter colors on sunny days might reflect but please explain to me how you see this as wasted space and how it can't be utilized for many applications

if the alloy is so special I'd think they'd want to tout it. IMHO tesla wants the appearance of some magical alloy when in fact it is lower quality than it should be.

True, but they're apparently shooting for 375k CT per year, and that won't happen with a truck priced above $90k, let alone $110k. They can barely sell 100k S and X worldwide at current prices. Furthermore, they seem to be ramping up production of 4680 batteries slowly. So, my guess is that they will come out of the gates with a dual motor 350 miles truck at $70k or less. Shorter range = less batteries = more trucks. Could be wrong though.
Where are you getting 375k? I'm genuinely curious. This is the last news I heard:

"We don't just need to ramp up production, but we also need to improve the production cost efficiency, which is going to be also a very hard thing. But I'd say a quarter million a year is a reasonable guess," [Musk] argued.
...
"It might be 500,000. I don't know but we'll make as many as people want and can afford,"
...
"in the grand scheme of things relative to the production rate of all the other cars we make, it will be small."
To me, this means CT will cost a lot and they won't be making many. I doubt the 250k number based on Musk's propensity for being "optimistic".

Aww… So cute. I’ll just accept that additional deflection as an admission there is zero evidence 375k cybertrucks will be built each year. You keep up the good work and tell Elon I said hello :like:
You're pretty dense. There are plenty of reports out there that Tesla goal is to produce 375k a year. Definitely wouldn't happen in 2024 since they need to ramp up. You can GTS for yourself.

Again, the part you keep missing is GOAL. Where they end up actually, no one knows, including Tesla.

Lol what are we even talking about here? The dash is wasted space because if it wasn't so damn big the frunk could be much bigger. I use my frunk every day. You're arguing the dash is not wasted space and can be "utilized for many applications" because you can lay blueprints and art posterboard on it...ok sure.

A lot of the bumper pieces look like cheap plastic. I know the Rivian has its own issues there, but the flat plastic without texture looks awful. And that stainless steel is going to be a nightmare to keep clean IMO. Looks like it gets streaks like the older style stainless appliances did that were impossible to keep off.

It just doesn't even look like it should be in the same quality comparisons as a rivian.
