I get an update error upon starting installation from the app. “Couldn’t Start Update, make sure the truck is ready, then try again.”

Any suggestions?

Has anyone from the East coast received the update?
I think the updates go to R1Ts first and then trickles down to us R1S owners...

I've seen that a couple times in the past, but on all occasions the error was... erroneous. The update went off without a hitch despite the app message.

Confirming I now have to swipe between modes vs just pushing on the mode I want? I switch between conserve and all purpose pretty regularly...is this now going to require a bunch of more work and less eyes on the road?
You can just touch the drive mode to select rather than swipe. Confirmed during this morning commute.

Very well done, Rivian. I'm sure that more OTA updates in the future will further improve this display and how information are presented but for now, I'm more than tickled by this latest software updates. Thank you Rivian ?

Question for those with the update. I have had the "clunk" in the drivetrain for a while...I just deal with it even after it was fixed with the washers. I noticed on my drive to work today that it in not as pronounced and almost seems like its gone. Has anyone else noticed this?? It might just be my mind messing with me.

BTW....truck seems more refined in all-purpose. Great update overall.

Could it just be colder temps? The noise/feel on ours was reduced in cold weather.

Could be...

I was just wondering because the truck just feels different...in a good way....when driving. Regen seems tamed a little in standard regen mode.

A new drive mode interface, so intuitive that you had to stick a bunch of arrows on the screen to explain what all the icons mean?

As opposed to previously where each mode was labeled with text that says what the mode is?

And the buttons are a lot smaller and harder to hit?

And instead of just selecting a ride height you have to keep pressing up and down arrows till it gets to where you want?

Designers are their own worst enemy man.

The data screens look absolutely awesome, though.
Downloaded last night and played around with the new Drive Mode interface during my commute this morning and I can confirm this sentiment. Selecting a different drive mode is now less intuitive, confusing, and requires more presses and attention. I really don't like it.
I couldn't take my eyes off the gauge cluster though! It is very neat to see this real time info. I had no idea that regen was largely only applied to the front wheels!

I have a bridge with a pavement buckle on my daily commute that always produces clunks and a pretty jarring feel in the cab. Today it handled it much differently. More composed, less noise...much improved. Same mode, same height, same settings.

Ok....so maybe I'm not crazy. :) I thought the same thing when I was driving over similar rough roads. It's just so cool how we get a brand new vehicle with these updates.

Well done Rivian....best vehicle I have ever owned.

I really wish the drive gauges would be available on the driver's screen, not on the center screen. We don't need the truck/street visualization for anything, these gauges would be sweet right there.

I was hoping for that ability to turn on the bed cam while driving with gate down. Hope it is still on road map for future if it isn't included in this update.
Found an option to automatically use the bed cam when shifting to reverse with the tailgate down. That's a nice touch. The regular camera is entirely useless with the tailgate down anyway.

The update still hasn’t been pushed to me. Are there any tricks to get it sooner?
