Wrong battery installed in my Rivian?

I was sitting in the car playing in the settings and noticed something off in the “about” section of the R1T. I payed for a large battery pack but the car stats it has a Standard pack? Can anyone else confirm or did I get ripped off?

That is most likely a mistake because I don't believe rivian even makes the standard pack yet.

I didn't think they were even putting standard packs in yet. Could be they were testing some on the line and someone forgot to reset an override somewhere. Guessing the data in your computer is just a goof and service can fix it.

Hmm, a clue that the large pack will be the standard pack and they are dropping the (lower range) standard pack?

What is your estimated range on a full charge?

I doubt they are dropping standard pack. AFAIK they are producing standard pack but all of them are allocated to EDV. Standard pack is supposed to start sometime later this year in the R1.

I am guessing this is some kind of mistake. Even when standard pack becomes available it will not be available for PDM or Quad motor vehicles. Since you have a quad motor I am pretty sure you have the large pack and this is a UI anomaly.

Standard pack has never been an option with Quad Motor so likely a software glitch as others have suggested.

If your actual range is the same as a Large, then you know it’s a simple software error.??‍

IIRC, I’ve seen this and was also puzzled because the range was clearly Large Pack. But I cannot check that screen for a few days.

Why dont you check your range in energy tab?

If it is more than 300 miles on full charge in conserve mode then its a bug in Rivian software.
If less, its a bug in Matrix and we have bigger things to worry about

Go to your charging screen and see estimated range at full charge. As said, most likely a software error since standard pack has yet to enter production.

Here is a large pack estimate with 20” wheels

Go to 100% please and then let’s look at the range number. If you’re 284 at 80%. Likely you’re about 314 at 100%. So you would have a large pack. I hope that is the case for you.

No need to actually charge to 100% to see it. There is an item to the left of the same screen that you tap on. It will show you projected range in 3 drive modes @ full charge (20" AT Quad-Large is shown).

Charging to 100% should be avoided, if you can help it. Unless you have LFP cells in your HV pack—which Rivian has not put into consumer orders yet (that we know of).
