OK, where are all the naysayers and Photoshop experts from this thread?

speculating still even though we're a day away because it's fun. Looks like the complaints about the weird warping of the roof around the liftgate could be explained by it being the spoiler. and that the roof is actually shorter and sloped down early with the spoiler being an extension to make the rear look more square. looks like there could be an slight aero sail effect on the sides.

Assuming the crossbars are the same, this probably means the R2 only has two spots for them. The R1S middle bar has about 3-4" of space between sides and the rearmost one is probably ~ 1.5" or less

I hope you're wrong about this. Those two racks in the picture look too close together to carry anything long.

For me, with my kayak, that would likely be a deal killer. It's always possible I'm wrong about the distance between the two racks. I'll find out tomorrow!

You are probably right. No chrome on the windows so I assumed it's not R1S. Forgot about the R1T. The anime stopped right there and didn't show any further.

No secret anyway with the leak. Just need better photos with multiple views tomorrow.

I'm calling it... the R2, what will make it special is that the back roof will be removable. You guys remember the "Amigo" truck from back in the early 90s?? I think the R2 will have a removable back roof and it's rear window can roll down. If you look at the teaser pic you can see on the top right of the R2 on the roof- it has a hole. And clearly the back window is cracked open so you can see out the front windshield. Someone should photoshop what the r2 will look like with NO WINDOWS/no rooftop past the rear pillar

I'm calling it... the R2, what will make it special is that the back roof will be removable. You guys remember the "Amigo" truck from back in the early 90s?? I think the R2 will have a removable back roof and it's rear window can roll down. If you look at the teaser pic you can see on the top right of the R2 on the roof- it has a hole. And clearly the back window is cracked open so you can see out the front windshield. Someone should photoshop what the r2 will look like with NO WINDOWS/no rooftop past the rear pillar

This was my big prediction for the R2 although I was hoping it would be over the driver/passenger area as well. Apparently the leaked source code had reference to removing the rear windows and rolling down the back glass for an open air feel. If the rear door acts as a tailgate when the glass is rolled down and the back roof glass is removable, it's basically a short bed pickup at that point.
