Anyone with better ideas on R2 cargo depth?

Now that I know the R2 has been on a bit of tour and a lot more people have seen it up close and personal, can anyone speak to cargo space? Has anyone been able to stick a measuring tape in it?

Overwhelmingly I am mostly interested in the depth from the back of the rear seats to the hatch

I have a dog and a dog crate and I need to know if the crate would actually fit (without shifting it sideways)

obviously a definite fit with the seats down but that’s not always a possibility.

My guessometer measures 30 inches...from top of rear seat

Alternately - If R2 is 15" shorter (-15), but doesn't have third row (+33), net change is +18" (R1S cargo length is ~15" from top of 3rd row seat back)
Maybe 33" from top of rear seats and ~40" from bottom????
Production may be different based on many factors...

Haha good to know, but that is right around the crate depth!

guess simply will have to wait for official numbers or production version to be sure…

I’ve got a “special” crate a Ruffland which was expensive and I don’t plan to replace, but yeah.

i believe it’s 32” long. My 4Runner I think is about 35-36” at the seat backs though I have SOME room to spare

so 30” wouldn’t work, 33”ish totally would however much a tight fit haha

37” would be amazing!!! Fingers crossed!

We use two large Rufflands in our R1S so we were also curious. The deptg seems good but the width might be hard. The measure app said just over 3ft between wheel wells which might be tight for two crates side by side.
