On road efficiency was a higher priority, but off road performance was considered in the design of the Goodyear tire. I am not sure of the off road specific performance of the Goodyear vs Pirelli.
How different is the new Rivian version from what came stock on the Taco? Are the reviews still valid (positive or negative) or are there enough differences that this should be considered a brand new tire?

Goodyear uses the Territory brand name to tune the tire to specific OE vehicles. There are other Territory AT options with distinct tire designs that were designed for different vehicles with varying performance priorities. The Rivian Territory AT is designed specifically for the R1.

When it comes to consumer reviews, the feedback often comes from non-expert opinions. These reviews are usually based on personal experiences and perceptions rather than scientific testing.

Speaking of scientific testing... How's the efficiency been for you with the new tires? How many miles have you run them, and what efficiency are you getting in the R1T?

These very well could be my next tire instead of the Yokohama Geolandar CV 4S @ksurfier has been testing for the group.

Speaking of @ksurfier, what's your current distance and average MPK with those? Let's compare!

I have approximately 1200 miles on the Goodyear tires on my dual motor performance with a mix of city and highway. And some quick acceleration runs mixed in. I’m at 2.35 mi/kWh. Your mileage may vary.

EDITED TO REFLECT REALIZED CHANGES:

Here's my Pirelli All Seasons Plus 3 in 275/60R20 at the end of last year: 2.44 MPK after adjusting for 3% diameter change for both my and your readings... That's a 6.5% efficiency drop to the Goodyears over AS options, not too bad.

That's a 20 range mile drop, but really 13 miles if you consider using 65% of the battery between charges. I think I'm sold, I'll be going with these at the end of summer.

Thanks for making the perfect tire, @B Digs !

How does road noise and handling with these Goodyear's compare with the other options like the Pirelli ATs and Geolander CV 4S?

I was about the pull the trigger on the Yokohama's due to improved road handling and road noise. Increased range is a consideration but road handling and noise profile are my top priorities.

My only concern with the Yokohama Geolandar CV 4S is I think they will wear very quick. My guestimate is 15-20k. It’s worth it for the handling. The best All Purpose efficiency I’ve seen was ~2.8 MPK over 20 miles (60 F and average speed of 35 mph).

overall it’s ~2.3 MPK.

the two key factors are speed (air resistance) and temp (air density).

I’m happy with the noise and handling performance of the Goodyear tires. I’m not sure how they compare to the other options.

There are different 20” tire sizes for different Gen 2 configurations… 275/60R20 (33”) and 275/65R20 (34”).

Rivian lists the 275/60R20 (33”) as an All-Season tire and the 275/65R20 (34”) as All-Terrain.
But the links for the Goodyear 33" say All-Terrain.
Are the tires Rivian uses and the one @B Digs linked different?

They 275/60R20 Goodyear tires mentioned are the same. Rivian classifies it as an All-Season. In reality the tire is a blend of All-Season and All-Terrain.

The Goodyear 275/60R20 will fit the Gen 1 wheels. I have them on my R1T and am happy with how quiet they are.

Is "All Weather" an adequate description?
They're 3PMSF, but off-road ready, so more AT than AS but look like not quite there.

Is there any roadmap to offering the 275/65/20 for people who have the gen 1 AT wheels and are sick and tired of the howling that the Pirellis give?
Uh yeah, just pull the trigger on any of the other sizes/tires available. There's plenty of experience/research on here, get to searching.
