Sure, but there really is no reason not to install HACS, especially if you want to use Home Assistant for more than just monitoring your Rivian.

Thanks all - I have a couple of Raspberry Pi's sitting around unused and this looks like a fun project! I love the breadth and depth of knowledge in this community and all of the sharing that takes place.

Now if we could only have a separate forum (that I could ignore) dedicated to whining...

a docker is not bare metal, its virtualized?
Docker is the container technology. You can think of it as a sudo hypervisor, and the container as a sudo VM but, no, Docker is decidedly not a type 1 hypervisor.
