Insurance. Accidents are what we all pay insurance for. Including business insurance. And in context of taxes, this is also a loss that can be reported to offset taxes. Reality isn't always as dire as the tabloids make them.

Could it have happened like that, sure, but why would we give this anonymous worker any more credibility than the initial report that they were all vehicles with issues waiting for some sort of disposition. ??

As I recall, there were also initial reports here that it was in a shipping area and it was near the railroad loading area.
