I've noticed that myself and others inundate other threads with our personal configuration choices (namely the color discussion threads in show and tell).

Lets just do a big rolling color discussion thread. Anything goes. This will help us dispel our nervous energy for good.

I have white E class (going away for the R1), white 69 Camaro (under consignment), silver 911 (classic color) and wife has a charcoal CX5. While I grant you the white/black/limestone/el cap/silver all look great for Rivian, its just not for me. This is my first new car and being a new manufacturer I want it to pop. I am going to be a street rat and get bright 22's on a R1S. My combo options and thoughts - I want a cool color and a cool interior.

1. Forest Green / Ocean Coast - they picked it on the R1S show car for a reason. RR vibes. Classic. I really think OC looks the best in photos.
2. Rivian Blue / Ocean Coast - it's their signature color, its unique and it pops. (but does it look like a FJ)
3. Launch Green / Forest Edge - limited edition color and a very unique interior, 'free' color upgrade (is it too tactical?)

4. Forest Green / Forest Edge - unsure. also most expensive (though I dont really care)

Just missed:
Red Canyon / Ocean Coast and White / Forest Edge (see above about white cars)

I'll be interested to see the discussions - the R1T and S are so different with one having a black roof and the other actually existing

I'd take whatever color would get me the truck the fastest. I'm really curious how many people are going to return the vehicle in the 7 day window and what Rivian intends on doing with those vehicles. Maybe they will use them to start a service loaner pool?

I wrestle with LG/FE and LG/BM...

I love the FE wood color, but two things: sitting inside a green interior for hours is a complete unknown and green/green might be a bit much w/ a sort of out of band color. Black intterior is a known known for me and I am already partial to them....

I really need to see the combos to make a decision :\

I'm pretty set on the Forest Edge interior. Don't think anything could sway me from that.

That said, I am struggling SO HARD between FG and Compass Yellow.

I think I am mostly settled on the Forest Green exterior, although the recent media pictures of Red Canyon and an in person viewing could make me change my mind. If we went RC, that would basically limit it to OC for interior (because Santa) and that's basically what we have now in our CX-5 (Mazda's metallic red plus their white interior that I think they call "Parchment"). It looks great in the Mazda and I think will look as good or better in the Rivian.

That said, if we go FG for exterior, I also like how the FE looks a lot better in pictures than in the configurator in spite of the extra $2k.

The obvious wildcard here is Limestone because [shrug emoji]. I will say regarding Limestone, even if it looks incredible I'm leaning towards RC or FG simply because I want this car to stand out as a way to be more noticeable for Rivian to increase brand awareness.

I want the Forest Edge interior, but my eyes are really sensitive to light, so I'm erring towards the black interior to make it more pleasant on a daily basis. As such, I'm planning on Limestone on the outside. If I see Forest Edge in person, and it's darker than it looks in the picture, I might swap colors. The black headliner is one of the big reasons I'm choosing Adventure over Explore (along with ventilated seats as I do enjoy those in my current car)

I am trying to figure out the combo that gets delivered the fastest. Pretty sure that mean dropping the extended range option. I currently have a silver exterior with black interior (sorry, don't know the marketing names of the colors) in the config tool.

P.S. GO TIGERS !

We almost got that red in the Mazda but went with charcoal/black. The CX5 in red/parchment looks great.

I think limestone with forest edge will be a low key awesome combo with a very limited take rate

Your use of the word santa makes me think you've seen my chart.

Dont forget that RC is dangerously close to Gamecock Garnet.

The more videos and photos that come out, the more I want the FE interior. It just seems like a perfect combination of light and dark. It won't be as hot as black and won't show dirt as much as white (dirt may even look good with FE!). It's also more unique and really fits the adventure brand.

Your chart has brought me lots of laffs for sure, very well done. Regarding the consideration about Red looking like Garnet, this is always something I have to consider. That's why my perfect situation would be mixing Red Canyon and Compass Yellow to get to a perfect Clemson Orange. That would also save me $2,000 (because pumpkin).

So you're going with the Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packer special R1T:):like:

Apparently it's the combo that Rivian is using at the first mile event so it's gotta be cool!

The green is supposed to be very mild and more gray so it may not channel packer vibes but if it's cool, whatever, make me a packer! I just won't be able to attend patriot/packer games at Gillette.

I am struggling with the interior like many. I don't think I like the black, everything is so dark. With the other colors you get contrast between the wood trim and the seat colors. Shame I can swap in the wood accents from OC into BM. I may go OC, I think it would really pop against a Midnight exterior. FE would also look cool against Midnight, very earthy. The other combo I am considering is OC with Blue.

Since the early 2000s most car vendors have shit canned Forest Green type cars. The last one I was able to get was a Forest Green Audi A4 Convertible in 2004. After that, we went lime green, or 'no one wants green cars'.

So since Rivian offers one, it's Forest Green and Forest Edge for me, dark greens have always been my favorite color.

I did kinda toy around with the Ocean interior, but after seeing it in the recent video releases it's green interior for me as well.

I'll probably change the wheels 40 times, but not the color. Right now I'm on the dark 20" ATs, i am almost to the point of asking about two sets, 21s for commuting, the 20s for fun but my wife is already glaring at me over the config I have :)
