Older vin assigned gen2 R1s

I picked up a car from r1s and the vin is 50xxx I see all new cars upto 57xxx. I am very happy about finding the config I love, but Is there anything to be concerned about older vin? Could be a car that has some problems or someone rejected it due to an issue? Do I need to look for anything specific at the time of delivery?

No, I doubt it. Also, that older vin range might have alcantara head liner. Post 55xxx, I believe, Rivian moved to a woven fabric.

Great. The reason I got black interior is because it had the black Alacantra headliner which was damn pretty, as seen in showroom. I would have been bummed not having it.

Interesting, I did not know about this change. I had posted earlier about my VIN getting changed in transit; it went from 55xxx to 52xxx. Had me a little worried, especially since at delivery I couldn't find an odometer easily, so I was worried I got a loaner or something. I also got the premium audio upgrade for free, since my initial car didn't have it and the new one did.

However, I can say that I have the alacantra headliner, I was admiring it earlier today while setting up my phone.

You got lucky there with the premium audio. Looks like they made it better with the recent update.

I got a gen 2 ordered and got a 45xxx vin. I feel I have the oldest gen2 compared to others here. It failed inspection and still waiting for delivery.

I had not heard of the woven headliner change. Is it possible They only change that for the standard pack? That would make more sense.

My Gen2 R1T Dual Standard just delivered has the suede style headliner. But my VIN is a much lower number, assuming R1T’s have different timeline than what’s being discussed?

Curious to know how low your vin is. I got a 45xxx for a 2nd gen R1s dual standard. Thinking maybe they manufactured the duals standard 1st before the others.
