Are there any NC Rivian owners (hopefully, Charlotte-area). Did you have to pick up your Rivian from Atlanta, or did it get delivered to Charlotte? Thanks!

this depends.

I’m in Raleigh. Richmond Delivery.

If located in Charlotte, you MIGHT get a Charlotte pickup, but depends on when your pickup is. The Charlotte SC is not currently customer facing…but I did see on Rivianroamer that they had vehicles listed in Charlotte.

You’ll have the option to pick up in Atlanta, possibly Raleigh if it gets opened soon. Or you can pay $1,000 and they will deliver to you.

Raleigh is tentatively January, but will also be initially Non-Customer facing. Rivian has told me “Non-Customer Facing” = Only for mobile dispatch and repairs to non-drivable vehicles.

full service will come a few months after.

I picked up my R1S in September. Flew to Chicago rented a car drove down to Normal. I'm glad I did there were several body alignment issues that needed to be fixed before I took delivery. Other than a few software glitches and a crappy sound system I'm very happy with it. My biggest concern will be 12 volt battery issues in the future. But it's definitely a step up from my Model Y. Location Hickory.
