Gen 2 key fob. Anybody get it to work?

I fixed mine. I had to go into the vehicle, settings, drivers and keys. Then, there was a yellow "!" next to the fob and a button to press. I don't remember what the button said. A few seconds later, the battery icon showed up next to the fob and the fob works.

I had previously seen fob settings and the fob name in the vehicle/access settings. I forgot there was a whole "drivers and keys" menu (I'm a bit new to Rivian).

I hope that helps others. Let me know if it works for you.

Also, now that it works, the fob has the color in the app.

I also just watched RivianTrackr's video and at around the 5 minute mark, he ran into the same issue as me and shows how to fix it.

Note that the LED light blinks the same color regardless - orange and red. It does not indicate connection state /status with the S

Good point. The constant amber light blinking has now stopped though since the pairing was finalized.

I just discovered a couple of things, you can now unpair key FOB from your account. Also, it appears the key band (bracelet) may become available for purchase as well.

The option to "remove" was not available to me until I was successful in getting the fob to work.

To remove FOB is available on my app though the FOB still doesn’t appear on my vehicle’s infotainment display. It’s not paired to the S?

I got my Gen 2 fob today. I went through the pairing process easily enough and it said something about finalizing once the vehicle was connected to the internet (it was already).

The led blinks yellow constantly. It will stop after several minutes but starts again as soon as I pick it up. None of the buttons do anything. I just get a red LED when I press them. I know the fob is paired as it won't let me try to pair it again and it shows up as one of my keys. It also works when I hold it against the door handle to lock/unlock the vehicle.

Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Okay everybody I've been having same issue with my key fob on my R1T Gen 2. Service came today for another issue... Hazard panel not working... mobile service and spent about an hour with an expert at rivian on keys and proximity locking and cards and everything and it turns out if it's not pairing it won't pair until they deal with it. It has to do with the number of keys that are already in there. I was actually the first one that they ran through the full test with and corrected it works great now so maybe delete some of your keys and redo them but you might need to get service on it once it was done I did have to log out and login of my app

how do you know its defective? I tried 2 key fobs and its not working... I have a 3rd one but not sure I want to even try it... If 2 doesn't work.. it's gotta be the car.

Mobile service had to come turns out oddly they were on the phone with their keys expert for about an hour and it was an issue with something in their system if you can't get it working which is the issue I had let them know and they'll have to either deal with it on the phone or mobile service has to come bizarre but that's what the guy told me and it works perfectly but it would not have worked and he could not get it working without an hour and a half on the phone with the expert

Strange. They told me I have to come in and mobile service won't be able to fix it if it's software related. But hopefully next update fixes it somehow
