Darkout package compatibility w/ Gen 1 R1S

Has anyone tried replacing the silver window trim on their R1S with the darkout pieces from a Gen 2? I can’t imagine they reengineered those panels between generations, and hopefully a body shop could just swap them out. Rivian service has not been able to give me a straight answer if they are compatible.
I’ve had mine wrapped twice, and it inevitably starts peeling. I’d rather have a permanent metal solution.

Your approach would be expensive. TWRAPs and others have chrome delete options. I applied mine over a year ago and I have no peeling problems, at least none I’ve noticed.

Sounds like you need a better company or hold them to a warranty policy. I've had a few pieces wrapped for 2+ years now and no issues.

An email is only necessary for the blackout emblems. You can purchase the chrome delete online.

You need a better wrap shop if it peels off mine has been solid for 2 years as well.

Bring it to "my shop" in IL, which is actually my garage, i'll do it free of charge. I bought a kit from Bogar Tech a long time ago. The kit was cut perfect, but the glue was void of adhesive. Still managed to get it on and it's been sticking really well ever since. If i was going to recommend a kit i would get it from TWRAPS, those guys have the best products. But yeah, if you're interested bring it over with any kit of your choice, "the shop" will take care of it.
