I have 2 electric folding bikes, a bit heavier than my non-electric bikes. They fold, which makes for more convenient storage, but they still slide around the bed unless I do some creative strapping. Are there any in-bed mounting solutions?

I don't feel comfortable using tailgate pads due to the wiring on and near the bike post, and roof rails are out because of the bike weight.

Maybe a DIY solution.

If I were doing this I would probably either buy the bulkhead molle panel from BuiltRight Industries:
https://builtrightind.com/products/bedside-rack-molle-panel-kit-rivian-r1t?variant=46280848015574

Or if you want a removable (less secure) solution try one of the tension mounts for truck beds:

I have had good luck with Rocky Mounts standalone fork or axle mounts. They should easily attach to either of the above.

Thanks for the suggestions, I had a mount similar to the Builtright about 10 years ago. Too bad though neither of those will work for me - removing a front wheel on an electric bike is a super hassle. Was really hoping for something like a bar that secured from bedside-to-side and mounted at the bike's top post or seat tube.

Sure, that makes sense. I have seen these for sale for a few years now in various designs, but never tried them myself. They get decent reviews. Might be worth a try if you don't want to DIY.

I use this with the fork near the tailgate. I do have to angle the bike so it fits in the bed with the tailgate up. I can carry more bikes with a second one near the cab. For that, I have to have the tailgate down. The wheel goes in a wheel bag, typically inside the cab on local rides.

I have the Builtright molle, with traction boards mounted to it. It's made of Aluminum so it has some flex. s00nish makes one out of steel and is more rigid. https://soonishev.com/products/s00nish-bed-mount-molle-panel-for-rivian-r1t

s00nish also has a rail system that could work with fork mounts: https://soonishev.com/products/forward-bed-mounting-rails-compatible-with-rivian-r1t

If you are putting a road bike in the bed be aware of the brake/shift levers rubbing against the rear window if you put the wheel near the tailgate.

I'm going to second the Ride88 option. I've used them in two different trucks now, and as long as you don't mind lifting the e-bikes up into the bed, you can roll them into the rack and lock the front wheel down in about 10 seconds. It does mean leaving your tailgate down unless you rest your rear wheel up on the closed tailgate. They have lockable options, they fold down small enough to close a tonneau cover over, and they are quick and easy to remove if you end up at Costco and you need the full bed space for the 75" TV... I agree, they're pricey, but work great.

Could always use something like a one-up mounted on crossbars on the bed (not the roof). I have the one-up and have used it on the roof, but it is a hassle getting the bike up there. I use a molle-panel on the bed wall and quick release levers, but that is a pain for ebikes, I get it.
