That surprises me. MKBHD noted he received more attention in the R1T than he has in any other car. And I have talked to a few people that I work with who are most definitely not car people, but they recognize it. One of them happened to see the R1T when she was driving back from a jobsite from Renton for me and noticed it.

I wonder if your Merce Island folks were just not paying attention while out walking around.

Just did my demo drive today and had MULTIPLE people with cameras at pretty much EVERY light! Made me feel like Lady Gaga!! (Or someone famous!)

FWIW, the LE we test drove Sunday was presented to us as an actual production vehicle (VIN 7FCTGAAL8NN000047) but had the tonneau locked out.

Same for me, VIN 82.

I think I was in VIN 91, and the tonneau worked fine on that one. It was actually the first thing the employee showed us

Related subject, I've had a surprisingly large number of people ask about or "watch" the ID.4. Other than that the only time I've had someone track me down in traffic was when I test drove the Mach e when it first came out and a guy in an F150 definitely made his way in traffic to scope it out. Pretty weird feeling.
