2026 Quad R1S Launch Edition ordered. When to expect VIN?

Hi Everyone! New Owner/at least I've paid a deposit . Very excited!!

I placed an order for a new '26 Quad R1S Launch Edition last Friday on 7/18. The sales guy told me these were pre-built and usually arrive in 3-5 days. However, I still haven't received a VIN and I have lowered my expectations on delivery date.

Is this normal to have to wait this long for a VIN on models that are pre-built? I reached out to my sales advisor via phone and email, I haven't heard back from him either way. Would like to get some validation on what is expected and if there is a potential problem.

I ordered one on the 17th, and haven’t heard anything either. there are a few others on here who ordered the same week as us, and are also still waiting. Seems to be the norm. hopefully we’ll get VINs soon.

So I ordered mine on the 15th. The rep told me the same thing. 6 days later I chatted with him. He cold the head office and apparently the tire package is connected to the VIN and if you ordered the A/T black or 22” Sport Bronze wheel pkg those truckers have to be built. He told me on the 22nd I should have a VIN within another week. He walks said my original delivery time frame for 1 - 3 weeks should still be accurate. However, based on the first weeks communication- I don’t have a lot of faith in the timing. lol.

I ordered on July 9 and I'm still waiting for a VIN. My guy says it will be any day now....

Incidentally, I'm trading in a 2023 Gen 1 R1T, which I love but I'm looking forward to the upgrade.

I ordered 25 July and I got a vin instantly.

I ordered and configured my 2026 R1S LE Quad on July 2, 2025. The Sales person at the SC said, in person, it may get delivery in Mid August 2025 or 3-6 weeks. I was excited and looking forward to having it in my possession by now.
In comparison, I waited 25 months for the 2022 LE from configuration day to delivery. During that 25 month wait period, I forgot about it until I was called with a VIN. Then I became excited. This time around my excitement is waning each day.
The new order is for the S LE launch green with Bronze wheels. I'm trading in my 2022 R1T LE.
I think 420 Chief may have not ordered the LE, all indications are the the non-launch editions are available with VIN's now in the online store. Seems odd, how Rivian is rolling out their units.

Hi Everyone, just checking if anyone in the thread has received a VIN yet. As noted before I ordered launch edition green with 22” wheels on 7/18 and crickets for me. Thanks!!
