I have been using autonomy+ on road trips for the last couple of months. i really like it, as i donāt have to be on high alert, and holding the car in place, which can take a good amount of work on windy days. even after an 8hr stretch, i arrive relaxed and ready to go, rather than tired and...
my must have criteria were an ev with room for 7 and 400+ range. the only two options were the R1S max pack and the Lucid Gravity.
I went with the R1S because i live in michigan, and the rivian has superior clearance and bad weather capabilities. this last winter has been particularly harsh...
since attaching the running boards without the aero plates requires cutting the original parts, does it affect the warranty in any way? also, has anyone noticed that the slits in the baseboards causes water to collect inside? thanks!
iām still capping at 2.7kw on a level 2 that was giving me full power in warmer weather. even when the battery is 50+, the charger is warm, and the weather is above freezing, it still wonāt go above 2.7, now.
I tried charging at an EA station, and the complimentary charging was no longer...
i started having a problem when we got to single digits in michigan. warming the battery to 40 didnt help, i had to get it over 50. also, i noticed that bringing my charger inside so it was also warm, was necessary to get the charging to initiate. i guess it didnāt like cold electrons. even when...
when it comes to 7 seats and 400+ range, the r1s and the lucid gravity are the only two options. the others are viable if you don't expect to take long trips, or live in the north, eg my kia niro loses 30% when it gets cold in michigan. it works, but i have to plug in daily.
when i was going...
soft-close doors would be nice, especially given how heavy these doors are to close. for kids, itās near 100% that they have to re-open and slam a half-closed door. for adults itās still close to 50%.
i have a gen 2 quad max pack and make a 250ish mile trip every month. it will make the trip without a problem as long as you donāt drive too fast.
conserve mode adds at least 10%, sometimes more, and so does staying at 70 or lower. if i get up to 75, i see the percentage remaining drop off...
i got it on Friday. it was scheduled for middle of the night, but i did it manually in the morning. seems to be working as advertised. 2026 R1S with connect +
i was able to manually update this morning. everything seems to be working as expected. Just in time for halloween stuff going on this weekend. šš» G2 r1s
i saw a video with Lucid brass talking about wanting to license their tech as a possible revenue stream. that could be their real golden goose. their motors are so efficient, they would have people lining up to take a piece.
when i was researching, the Gravity and R1S were the only 2 options...
i have not noticed any difference when i change between 3D on to advanced, nor between the different levels of dynamic. has anyone found these settings to do anything to the sound?
when i visit friends out of state, I have consistently stayed at a hotel that has 4x 40A level 2 chargers that i plug in overnight. we use my car for all of the driving around, and i probably get $50 worth of free juice every night. itās a huge perk, and the sole reason im willing to book a...
my understanding is that the car will not perform the spin if it meets a certain level of resistance from the road, which is probably quite low. iām actually looking forward to trying this on ice/snow covered streets in the winter to avoid three point turns.
this post freaked me out a little, as i couldnāt imagine Rivian would deliver a car without the adapters someone needs to use their own (RAN) charging network. I called the CS where i will be picking up tomorrow, and they confirmed both adapters will be with the car on delivery.
