Rivian’s 2025.34 software update is currently being tested internally and will be rolling out soon.

Gen 1

• Smart Charging Schedule Recommendation: Automatically shifts charging to off-peak hours for cheaper, cleaner energy (up to 20% savings).
• Enhanced Audio Settings: Save custom equalizer profiles and use two additional renameable slots.
• Performance Improvements:
  • Faster touchscreen response and smoother navigation
  • More reliable mobile commands while vehicle is asleep
  • More accurate range on arrival estimates (now factoring air density at higher elevations)
• Bug Fixes:
  • Gear Guard video thumbnails display correctly
  • Tonneau cover position displays properly
  • Fog light and exterior lighting issues resolved
  • Trip energy and efficiency data stability improved

• Enhanced Highway Assist:
  • New Co-Steer lets you gently adjust lane position without disengaging
  • Availability expanded up to 50% on urban and suburban highways
  • Improved lane centering on moderate to tight curves
• Digital Key: Store and share your Rivian key in Apple Wallet, Google Pixel, or Samsung devices.

Looks like it's going to be a big update. I'm looking forward to the expanded capabilities of driver assist. Since switching to their new system, it has already gotten better. The lane keep was a little neurotic when it first released, but it seems more stable now, and I'm excited to see the co-steering feature for semis that cannot keep it in their lane.


Also, the expansion to more city highways and stuff is a welcome addition. I have been visiting the semi-local crag, about 1.5 hours each way, and it's mostly highway driving, but not expressway, so I have to drive the whole thing. Hopefully, some of that will be taken care of.

A bit concerning that the 12v health monitoring doesn’t apply to Gen1 isn’t it? Wonder what the hardware limitation is here.

I found a minor one in Apple music that is quite annoying, but probably doesn't impact a huge number of people. Apple music will no longer play music that's part of my library, but not purchased through Apple. For example, CD's I purchased and uploaded the music for just freeze (even if it's available in Apple Music). They had worked up until the last update.

Gen1's hardware is compatible with Co Steer; I use it with my Comma 3x liberally.

Is there an official place to submit a bug report?

I found a minor one in Apple music that is quite annoying, but probably doesn't impact a huge number of people. Apple music will no longer play music that's part of my library, but not purchased through Apple. For example, CD's I purchased and uploaded the music for just freeze (even if it's available in Apple Music). They had worked up until the last update.

Would be nice to have that option to submit bug reports. Looks like only the 3 or 4 official bug reporters can do that right now. Tracker, roomer etc
