Today I was checking the GoodYear website to see if the Territory AT is back in stock and noticed a new option:
https://www.goodyear.com/en_US/tires/wrangler-electricdrive-at/25328.html

It is available in two Rivain-compatible sizes:
275/60R20 116T
275/65R20 116H

They are 3PMSF rated and come with a 50k mile warranty. At $400 ea. they also cost quite a bit more than the Territory AT. The 50k warranty probably has something to do with that. The tread looks like a bit more of an offroad pattern compared to the Territory AT. Other than the GoodYear website I can't find any information or reviews online. Anyone here have any insights?

The manufacturer website has the most generic descriptions possible of this tire's specs and materials :giggle:

Maybe @B Digs can shed some light. Not much info on the internet. Lower UTQG (580) than the Pirelli AT Plus (640) or the Toyo OC AT3 EV (600)

TireRack has weight (Goodyear site does not):
46 lbs for the 275/60R20 XL
43 lbs for the 275/65R20 SL

Compare to 48 lbs for the 275/65R20 SL Pirelli Scorpion AT Elect

Literally, copy, paste and repeat for info on 3PMSF.

Sound Comfort is the GY name for foam inserts… Interesting, might be a contender for those of us looking for a road biased replacement to 65 Scorpions.

I was just about to order the Rivian Goodyear Territory for the used 20" rims I bought to replace my 22" sport wheels. Now I'm not sure what to get.

Big price difference and nothing but unknowns when it comes to this new tire. I am still planning on the Territory AT. Eager to hear feedback from anyone willing to be the first to get a set of these though.

Yes, and America’s Tire (aka Discount Tire) has them available. My local Goodyesr shop is more convenient and I previously found some nice discount coupons for Goodyear.

Depends on what you want the tires to do. Tread of this looks marginally more aggressive for off-pavement. UTQG is the same. But this is about $180 more each. The Territory AT is a better value.

Hi all,

For those that aren’t aware, I’m an engineer at Goodyear that worked on the Wrangler Territory AT designed for Rivian. I’m not as familiar with the ElectricDrive AT. I’m sure the ElectricDrive replacement tire would be a good match for the R1, but I would still lean towards the Original Equipment Territory tire designed specifically for Rivian.

Does the Wrangler Territory AT have the "SoundComfort" foam?

Whilst that tire is OEM, I can't help wonder why Rivian only offers this tire on the base Dual Standard configuration. You can't get it on any other configuration. Which is surprising if it's the best of both worlds between AS and AT. Just leads me to think it's missing some features that a more premium tire would have, and maybe this new one is it...

The Wrangler Territory AT does not include SoundComfort foam, but it still delivers favorable noise performance. Many customers have commented on how quiet the tire is, even without the foam.

As for why Rivian limits this tire to certain configurations, I’m not sure. From my perspective, the Territory AT is a fantastic option, and customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

I was able to get a Dual Peformance Max that came with the 20" AS wheels + Territory AT's. If you look at the replacement cost of rims + tires for that "standard" wheel setup vs, say the 22" sport or 20" full AT, its only like $500-$600 difference total for the set. It's not as though they are putting a cheap wheel and tire combo on an 80k+ car. I really like the base 20" rims - could size relative to the sidewall and a nice blend of dark/bright metal. I totally get why people associate bigger wheels and thinner tiers with premium SUV, but I think it makes the big R1S look unbalanced. Why you can't get the standard 20's on any configuration more easily, hard to say, but probably comes down to marketing.
