  1. VelociRAX on R1S

I just bought a Velocirax 6 bike with the lock. Easy install with 1 person. Getting the bikes on and off is pretty easy. The add-on locking cable feature is a quick install and seems to work well, and comes with its own combo lock. With 4 bikes on the rack its pretty hard for one adult male with...
  2. 2026 Rivian R2 Specs & Reviews!! 300+ Mile Range, 10-80% Charge in 30 Min, 656 hp / 609 lb-ft, 0-60 mph in 3.6s, dimensions

Plenty of cars these days have "vent" holes with no seat ventilation. Think "Audi".
  3. 2026 Rivian R2 Specs & Reviews!! 300+ Mile Range, 10-80% Charge in 30 Min, 656 hp / 609 lb-ft, 0-60 mph in 3.6s, dimensions

I own a 2025 R1S (2nd Gen), Dual Max. Its been in the shop repeatedly for many things, some big and some small. The next medium thing that breaks i will be doing a buyback/Lemon. I have owned a leaf, Bolt, 3, Y and S before this car. Having said that: 1. I have looked all over for what will...
  4. Recall: Rear Toe‑Link Bolts Replacement (affects 19,641 R1 vehicles)

I can only imagine that their repair specs forgot to mention that the tow link bolt should be tightened while the vehicle is on the ground, under load, and at "normal" ride height. Tightening the bolt in the air means the bushing is under torque load when sitting and will wear/tear far more...
  5. What winter upgrade did you think you'd need… but didn’t?

A note to those in california - if you have 4-wheel drive and snow rated tires (M+S), which almost all all-season tires are, then Chain Control will NOT make you put chains on. And in fact they legally cant. The 3rd tier of chain control, where they force all cars to put on chains, never ever...
  6. Rivian is Moving FAST! My Thoughts after meeting Rivian Engineers at Autonomy Day

Great overview - thanks. A few thoughts: 1. Ive long said that all the basic stuff on Rivians software platform sucks absolute balls because all their engineers are working on autonomy. Thats great and all but id like to be able to actually, you know, get into my vehicle with out taking my phone...
  7. iOS version 3.8.0 is out!!

Rivian Digital Key added to Gen 2 vehicles. Needs version 2025.46 to work. Also unlocks via NFC even when your phone is in power reserve mode - this may be why a lot of peoples phones wont unlock the car.
  8. 30% of the time, my 2024 R1S forgets to restore my seat position when I get in.

As per usual there are some total d!cks on this forum. Always amazing to me.... And yeah, i have this problem too, and have had since i bought my 25 R1S. This is part of a long list of "issues" that Rivian has that shows that they dont actually daily drive their vehicles, becuase if they did...
  9. Venting Windows

Nice bike - what is that? AZ so even better riding conditions than CA...
  10. Venting Windows

I’ll just settle for the windows auto closing when walking away from the car!
  11. My Three Biggest Asks.

I’ll take: 1. A nav system that doesn't crash and leave my avatar sitting in one location and refusing to do nav guidance, requiring a full reboot. Every few days. 2. A seat position memory that works more than 75% of the time. 3. A tailgate that actually closes instead of me having to open...
  12. Rivian Q2 2025 Earnings Results

Re #4 I would really like to see what you are seeing. I can’t tell you how many small companies that I buy from have already sent emails about price increases. And small companies drive the economy, as does consumer spending. Prices are going up and will continue to go up in a step function to...
  13. Rivian Q2 2025 Earnings Results

Heres my prediction: 1. Lack of EV tax credits for buyers will decrease sales/revenue 2. Tariffs on imported parts will increase costs and either increase price and reduce sales or decrease profit per truck 3. Inability to sell carbon credits will hurt profitability 4. Upcoming stagflation...
  14. Teslarati - Tesla takes first step in sunsetting Model S and X with drastic move

This...i owned a 2013 Model S and a 2020 Model 3 and Model Y. The ancient Model S was far better built with more luxurious touch points, was far quieter, rode far smoother, was way faster, and was just overall a much better car. I thought the Model Y was great until i got in my Model S (which i...
  15. New 2025 R1S Suspension issues, in shop 18 days and counting

I’d have to say the suspension on my 25 R1S seems sub standard for a top of the line air suspension. Very “bangy” on bumps etc like it’s riding on the stops. Just waiting for something to break before I make an appointment.
